What’s the greatest single play you have ever witnessed? Describe the players involved and what happened. What year as well, if you can recall.

So many stand out for me, but the one that always comes to the forefront is in the 2009 season when Omaha went to Colorado and QB James McNear threw a deep pass to the right side of the end zone (right where I was sitting) and as the ball was in the air no one was even on that side of the field and RB RJ Rollins comes across the field from the left side (and I was thinking there's no way he's going to make it in time) and at the end he breaks into a slide (similar to sliding into second base) and barely makes it in time to catch the ball for a touchdown. I've seen a lot of great plays, catches going over the wall, etc, but that one was the best for me.
Rollins also caught the game winning touchdown with no time left in that game as well. Beef fan tradition for away games is to meet the team outside by the team bus after the game and during that year Beef Fan Rita was giving away custom cowbells to the player of the game in the tradition of her late husband who was known as Horny Harry due to his Beef Helmet he wore to games. Rollins was calling for the bell as he exited the locker room knowing full well he was getting it. Some games it was hard to determine a clear cut player that deserved the bell above everyone else, but in that game there was no question at all.

Yeah, yours beats mine considering it was for the title and it was also the winning score.

Hard to say. There's a youtube video on it though for people to make up their own mind. I can see an argument for both sides. If he was over the line, the ref's sure didn't notice...or thought a part of him was still on the line (you have to be completely over the line). Ref's can't catch everything unfortunately, so they either didn't catch it or he wasn't completely over.

I still get goose bumps when I watch that video of Veenhod making that catch! There were so many great plays in the title games against Lexington. The year before that I think, we blocked the go ahead FG only to have it called fan interference, Lexington rekicked it & missed. Last year Brian Mcintyre's INT for a TD was great. Who can forget the 2005 United Bowl in SC!
