Catastrophic Bananas/BC takes the early lead (and most likely will hold on to it and win the whole thing...give up now) with 12 correct picks. Thunder Pigs/Micah008 and Purple Paws of Terror/Purple Bear are in second with 11 correct picks. Baltimore Brigade and White & Nerdy/CF4L (last year's champ) round out the top five with 10 correct picks. The rest of the field has some work to do as well as the late signee's, but it's only one week and anyone can win it. Also added below are expert results as well as home/away and favorite/underdog to see how you stack up against the experts and trends.

PsychRulesTheSchool is looking good so far, only three behind me. I too had tough decisions last week, switching to Cincy, Cleveland, and Houston the day of the games. Cleveland didn't come through for me, but I still got a +1 for my changes (and usually my changes don't work out too well, the gut feeling has a lot better results overall).

Week 3 Results: Montreal Machine wins Week 3 with 12 points! The first three weekly winners have now won with 12 points, so that's the bar to hit if you want to be successful (although with a bye week that's kind of difficult). Big O, Baltimore Brigade, and Emperors tied for second with 11 points. Rounding out the top five were Catastrophic Bananas, ftblgrlfan, White & Nerdy, and Thunder Pigs all tied with 10 points.
Overall Standings: Catastrophic Bananas remains in the lead for the third straight week with 32 points. Baltimore Brigade moved into a tie with Thunder Pigs for second place with 31 points each. White & Nerdy is two back of the lead in fourth place with 30 points. PsychRulesTheSchool moved into a tie with Purple Paws of Terror for fifth place with 28 points. Big O rose to seventh place with 25 points. WichitaWheatPickers moved into a tie with Hawkeye's Picks for eighth place with 23 points. Cracking the top ten for the first time is ftblgrlfan, in tenth place with 20 points. Montreal Machine and Emperors had the biggest rise up the standings, each moving up four spots. Big O also had a big rise, moving up three spots. ftblgrlfan, who started picking at the end of week one, has almost caught expert Sterling Sharpe (so don't listen to his advice on TV).

I got some work to do this coming week to get back in the lead. I looked at my picks last week and if I had to pick them again I'd probably still go with the same picks, except for NY over Chi which I changed (doh). That's why we don't do NFL picking with point spreads, straight up is hard enough.

Man, I didn't realize until this morning that I missed picking the Thursday Night Football game. I had a virus this week and it hit me pretty hard so I was kind of out of it. It sucks because I would've picked Philly and they won, so essentially I lost a point in the standings because of that stupid virus...#$%#. I'm going to be pissed if I lose the contest by one point.
Now I know how Steve feels: (joking)
