What do you think is the craziest/most interesting stats this season?
Here are some that come to mind:
- The Redskins are 4-1 when they score under 20 points, and 1-5 when they score over 20 points.
- The Patriots have the 31st ranked defense yet are arguably the #1 team in the league...
- Matt Cassel is one of only eight QB's in NFL history to throw 20+ TD's and 5 or less INT after 11 games.
What other ones are there?

Brett Favre has a number in the "Game Started" category.
It isn't 'crazy surprising' it is 'crazy stupid'.

Seattle winning their division (and getting a 4th seed) with a losing record of 7-9. (If they had lost their final game they would have had the 8th pick in the draft.)

I think Seattle would rather have the playoff spot, than the 8th pick though. There's a lot of talk about changing the playoff system to ensure another 7-9 team doesn't make the playoffs, but I'm against it. I don't have a problem with a division winner having a losing record. I'd prefer them to have a winning record, but to me you have to have a team from each division make the playoffs. The flaw I see is that the divisions are too small if anything. Having fewer divisions with more teams in each would definitely cure this problem, but I don't think that will happen.

The other discussion I have heard today was letting the same teams into the playoffs as they do now, but re-seeding so Seattle would have ended up as a 6th seed even with the division win. That I could maybe go for, then the Division win still means something, but not as much.

Of course, if this was a 1 year fluke, it doesn't make sense to change the rules over it.

Saw another: Oakland went 6-0 in their division, but ended in 3rd place in it, and didn't make the playoffs.

Yes, first time that's ever happened where a team was perfect in their division and didn't make the playoffs. It couldn't have happened to a better team either.
