Do people here want the policies and procedures manual? I asked about this and was told that the Operations Manual was a confidential document. The Rule Book, by the way, is not confidential, and I was given permission by the league to publish it on my site for others to see. outsidetheboards.com/resources/IFL_Rule_Book_2011.pdf

SECTION 1: THE GAME, FIELD, BALL, TEAMS, PLAYERS, SUBSTITUTES AND UNIFORMS Section 1.01 The Game: A. The game is patterned after --> American football <---, with variations adopted to accommodate playing the game indoors and in limited spaces.

A direct statement right from the IPFL rulebook, a result of the lawsuit from the Arena Football League over a decade ago. The text found its way into the NIFL rulebook, and then apparently here. Good they've spent so much time making sure the rulebook works just for them...
