From GoIFL:
The Indoor Football League is proud to announce the Vidswap.com Kickoff Classic Weekend Players of the Week. The IFL's third season took off on Saturday with an action packed game between the Slaughter and Spartans. Followed by an intra division match up where IFL fans got a first glimpse of the new Bricktown Brawlers, as they traveled to West Texas on Monday.
The Kickoff Classic Weekend produced three young athletes whose performance placed them at the top in Vidswap.com Players of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week: Ben Birmingham, RB, Bricktown Brawlers
Although the Brawlers fell just short of the Roughnecks on Monday night, Ben Birmingham had a great debut. Ben struck in the second quarter with an 11 yard carry for the Brawlers first Indoor Football League touchdown. Birmingham would catch another 22 yard touchdown shortly after, and take in another 47 yard run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, leaving him with 71 yards rushing and 2 TDs and 5 catches for 15 yards and an additional TD.
Defensive Player of the Week: Lenny Radtke, LB, Chicago Slaughter
Chicago's defense proved to get the job done on Saturday, as the Slaughter traveled to La Crosse. Radtke's performance was above all else as the LB posted 10.5 tackles. Radtke would also bring in a 15 yard interception for a touchdown late in the game to give the Slaughter a commanding lead and the win.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Patrick Jackson, DB, Chicago Slaughter
With the Chicago Slaughter bringing in touchdowns from all sides of the ball, special teams were found no different. Patrick Jackson DB proved to be ready for the 2011 season posting 5.5 tackles on kickoffs and an impressive 35 yard blocked FG return for a touchdown.
