4 teams spread out like they are will be a hard formula for success.
I think Stockton will be fine and should run over the entire league en route to winning the title.
Can Oregon and Reno make it through the whole season though? The AIFA track record says at least one team will go down before season's end.

Palm Harbor, FL. The AIFA West is now under the sole leader ship of Michael Mink who takes on the role of Commissioner after the AIFA East merged with the Southern Indoor Football League last week. Under Michael the league is looking to carve its own niche in the world of indoor football. The season will kick off in March with 12 games. Four teams, the Reno Barons, Reno, Nevada, Yakima Warriors, Yakima, Washington, Stockton Wolves, Stockton, California, and a yet to be named team in Oregon round out the first seasons line up. Mr. Mink said, "I look at this square of four teams and see the most travel friendly season I think I've ever seen out west."
The Yakima Warriors have been very busy in the off season, preparing to officially announce the appointment of James Fayed III as their head coach. Coach Fayed replaces Lance Brown and Michael Mink, who will focus of the running of the league. The Warriors have also signed QB, Devin Hollins of Arkansas State. Returning for his second season with Yakima is former Alabama and CWU Star LB Prince Hall.
The San Jose Wolves are now the Stockton Wolves after relocating to Stockton, California. They are in the middle of finalizing their lease with the city and new SMG management team( SMG has managed over 6 AIFA teams in the Past including former AIFA Champion Florence Phantoms (Benny King). The Wolves are looking forward to the move and finding success on and off the field much like their af2 predecessor, the Stockton Lightning. The Lightning enjoyed a four year run with good acceptance in the Central California area. The Wolves are looking to bring one new thing to the area fans the Lightning never did, a championship. Last season the Wolves finished second to the Wyoming Calvary in the AIFA's western division.
The Reno Barons have been filling roster spots in preparation for the upcoming season and all near finalized with the city. This will be the Baron's first season and everything points to a very successful venture.
The New Oregon Franchise has an arena, name and ownership group. The league is working on final contracts and will announce the team in the next two weeks.
Tucson ThunderKats CEO Mario Wiggins was advised by the league several weeks ago, after revealing all their internal problems, it would be best to regroup for 2012. "This move is the best for the ThunderKats and the AIFA West", according to Michael Mink. Commissioner Mink added, " Nobody likes to see a team step aside, but the up side here is travel just became a whole lot more friendly for the remaining four AIFA West teams. We look forward to the ThunderKats rejoining the AIFA West for the 2012 season."
After a minor overhaul to reflect the AIFA West the league will continue to use www.aifaprofootball.com as its primary web site address until further notice. Commissioner Mink made this decision after deciding that six years of information on the current site shouldn't be lost and keeping the site the best way to preserve AIFA histiory.
The AIFA West was formed after the split with the AIFA East in 2010. It will kick off the 2011 season in March 2011 with each team playing 12 games followed by a championship series to determine the league champion. The AIFA is guided by long time indoor football veteran Michael Mink who has seen duty as a league owner, team owner, head coach along with many team and league management positions.
