Micah's Fan Tailgate at Riverside Park gets a plug. If you're going to the game, stop by the tailgate first!

Great job on supporting your team Micah!

The Spartans organization has really jumped on board to help out with this fan tailgate. They have provided the drinks (Pepsi products), given me a bunch of giveaways (tickets, hats, sponsor coupons) and offered to have Spartans players, Lady Spartans, and even Benizio stop by.
It has been nice to have their support... now we will just see how many people we get.

There will be some fans that think it is cool to meet him... so maybe it will bring a few more people. I hope so too, but I am honestly not sure how many people to expect. It could be 15, it could be 50. I guess we will see.

I hope it goes very well for you. It's great to see that the Spartans organization has embraced you so much.

Actually having the commish stop by would be great, the more he can personalize himself with the org, the better (always nice to have commish support if ever needed). The Spartans can also see that a core fan base is starting to grow, so these things are always nice for them to see and realize that fan support is indeed getting bigger each year. This sport really is a lot of fun once you get in with a bunch of core fans and the org at events like this.
I'm glad the Spartans are helping and having raffle tickets for those that show up to dole out prizes to is a great way to give them out.
Another idea is if they give you a high priced item, whatever it may be, is to have fans that show enter a contest where you guess the final score (total of both teams) with tie breakers being the individual scores of each team. Whoever gets the closest to the final total score wins the big ticket item after the game (of course you may need contact details for those that enter that you don't know personally). The Beef's fan group the Meathead's would always do that on bus trips, but it can work for a tailgate too.
You could always auction off cheerleaders too (kidding). Actually though, funny story, the Beef did auction off cheerleaders and players to have dinner with, but it was at a restaurant where everyone was at the same place and whichever cheerleader or player you won at auction you'd get to sit a table with them during the dinner. Too pricey for me, but it was funny to watch some drunken fans and fans with some hots for some cheerleaders get in bidding wars while wives/girlfriends steamed behind them.

Coming into this game Green Bay (8-3) is ranked #2 and La Crosse (4-7) is ranked #16.
This is the second meeting of the season between these two teams. The last game had a brawl at the end which resulted in suspensions on both sides.
