Coming into this game Wichita (3-7) is ranked #14 and West Texas (7-3) is ranked #10.
Can Wichita recover from a close loss last week and beat West Texas after their blowout home loss at the hands of Allen?

Wichita Wild 22, West Texas 21 (FINAL)
Upset in Odessa! Wichita avenged an earlier season loss at their home by beating the Roughnecks in their house. Wichita was eliminated from the playoffs when Omaha won however. West Texas might be in the playoffs even with the loss, depending on how a tiebreaker with them and Seattle would work out. West Texas is also a half game behind Allen in the Lonestar Division title race.

Couple items:
First, I don't think Wichita is eliminated from the playoffs yet. Isn't Chicago 7-4? Both teams could finish tied at 7-7 for the final playoff spot.
This WT vs. Wichita game had a crazy ending. The WT quarterback was sacked in the final seconds when WT had no timeouts. Following the sack, WT lined up to spike the ball to stop the clock. Upon snapping the ball, WT was flagged for illegal formation. Shouldn't this be a 10-second run-off of the clock? The clock stopped upon the flag with .3 seconds left.
Anyway, the officials discussed the penalty for maybe 5 minutes. WT had plenty of time to run their kicker on the field and get set-up in FG formation. The flag actually worked to their advantage, which is why there should have been the 10-second run-off. So following the officials conference, WT lines up to run a play. The center snaps the ball and the QB spikes it. The .3 seconds tick off the clock and the game is over.
What was the WT coaching staff thinking? Why would you try to spike it instead of kicking a FG? There is no advantage to spiking the ball at that point. They had plenty of time during the officials conference to get the FG unit on the field. You can't spike the ball in less than .3 seconds. Heck, it is probably impossible for the clock operator to stop the clock in less than .3 seconds.
Very bizarre ending.

Chicago is 8-4. They could end up tied with Omaha, but Omaha wins a tie as they beat them twice already. I'm not certain on which penalties run off 10 seconds, but I know not all of them do. The IFL Rule Book might cover it, you can look through it here: www.megaupload.com/?d=BNBM1KZPI saw a game this year, can't recall which one it was now since I've watched all that have been shown on B2, but a team spiked the ball and the clock didn't run (definitely an error). Thankfully the FG was blocked in that game on the next play, because that would've been a terrible way to lose. Ah, I remember, it was Wichita's win over Bloomington. I guess Wichita has these things happen to them a lot. I agree though, West Texas' coaches sure weren't thinking there.
