I was going to pick Arizona at Wyoming, but something held me back...not sure what it was.
I almost went Chicago at Bloomington, but Bloomington's going to roll in that one.
I went with Omaha at Sioux Falls in the first meeting this season between the two teams who have the longest rivalry going in indoor football. Yes, the Storm will roll, but it's still my pick. These teams usually play close even when one is better. The Beef are also the team to end Sioux Falls' historic win streak a few years back. Can they upset the greatest indoor football team ever assembled this week?

in the past when Omaha and SFS were on the schedule it was basically an auto-pick for GOTW.
Not anymore, not these teams. Omaha has fallen down quite a bit offensively and the Storm are probably the greatest indoor football team of all time.
I agree with BC on Chicago getting blown out by Bloomington so that game is out too.
In the end I decided to chose Colorado @ Oklahoma City. The ICE have started pretty decent, but I guess maybe I see OKC doing a little something here. Colorado should be favored, but hey, its indoor football, who knows?

1 Apr (Fri): *Arizona Adrenaline @ Wyoming Cavalry Cavs Coast to victory, and at least one cavs fan has more beers than Arizona has points.
1 Apr (Fri): **West Texas Roughnecks @ Wichita Wild Wild should get Sankey in town this week. Getting a serviceable center should be next on their wish list. Solomon was dinged late in the game when one of the QB's hung him out to dry. Hopefully he heals fast.
1 Apr (Fri): *Richmond Revolution @ Green Bay Blizzard Green Bay, and by a lot.
1 Apr (Fri): **1/2 Lehigh Valley Steelhawks @ Reading Express Intriguing as both of these teams might wind up meat for the Storm playoff grinder
1 Apr (Fri): *** Fairbanks Grizzlies @ Kent Predators Coach Fuller has the Griz believing in themselves, Kent has shown me very little... the good karma should continue for Fairbanks.
1 Apr (Fri): *** Chicago Slaughter @ Bloomington Extreme TexXx's pick as GOTW. Regional rivalry, two good franchises. Both teams come in pretty solid, with the exception of a missing kicking in Bloomington (Where is ChrispyFlakes?)
2 Apr (Sat): * Allen Wranglers @ Amarillo Venom Wake me up when this one is over.
3 Apr (Sun): ** 1/2 Nebraska Danger @ La Crosse Spartans This is an intriguing matchup. La Crosse has figured a few things out winning their last two, Nebraska has QB issues, and coming off a tough beat against Green Bay.
3 Apr (Sun): ** 1/2 Colorado Ice @ Bricktown Brawlers Colorado should win comfortable, moving them to 5-0 and surpassing win totals for 2 previous years combined
3 Apr (Sun): *** Omaha Beef @ Sioux Falls Storm - Longest continuous rivalry in the league, and at the present time, the most complete team the Storm will have faced yet. Omaha has had Chris Dixon's number before, including his only two losses in 2009.
Overall it’s a really good weekend with several marginally entertaining games on tap. I think we all continue to watch Fairbanks, and hope they continue to gain steam. How does Sankey do in Wichita? Regional rivals Omaha and Sioux Falls, and Bloomington and Chicago square off. Nebraska comes off a gut-wrenching defeat, and heads to La Crosse, who have steadily improved over the last two weeks.
LEGEND * = ZZZ ** = Better than watching 2 white guys boxing on ESPN2 at 3am *** = Hey, this is a pretty good game **** = Git Yer popcorn ready!
