Fayetteville, North Carolina named Cape Fear Heroes. Maryland Force will remain semi-pro and feed players to the new Maryland Reapers (who may play in Baltimore).

Updated the status on the first post:
The Sin City (Las Vegas, Nevada) Blackjack are the latest team to join the AIF for 2012.
The number of announced teams is now up to 7, so that leaves 3-4 more to be announced.

The new Las Vegas Blackjack are scheduled to play a team from Stockton, California on 11 March, so I added them as a league team. Not sure if this is the Stockton Wolves or not...more to come.

Updated the status on the first post with the two latest teams to join the West:
Ontario (California) Warriors Stockton (California) Lightning
The West is now at 5 teams and from reports complete. The East is currently at 4 teams and will either add one or two more teams before the season begins.

Updated the status of the first post with the following:
Sacramento Eagles moved to Stockton and renamed themselves the California Eagles. They couldn't afford the arena in Sacramento, so they were able to get a deal done in Stockton once the Lightning folded.

The AIF is now up to 10 teams with the additions of two new teams:
Carolina (Concord, North Carolina) Force Macon (Georgia) Steel
It's no coincidence that the two new teams are using nicknames of former SIFL teams from last year since they are using as much as their equipment as possible to save on costs (i.e., they already have limited funds).

Most AIF Teams are glorified semi-pro teams at best and the amount of money needed to do it right is usually not used in this league.

Per their schedule, VA is a travel team, and the Tri-State (I forget) are another travel squad in the east.

AIF added two affiliate travel-only teams: North Alameda (California) Knights Tri-State (Baltimore Maryland) Redhawks
and they downgraded Virginia to an affiliate travel-only team as well: Virginia (Richmond) Badgers
