It's been a mixed bag this season. I've never been so blah going into a championship game before. Maybe it's because we're set up for the biggest choke of all time should the team try to cake walk through this... A lot of that feeling may come from this Storm team being so dominant as well. Even though the 2006 and 2007 teams went undefeated they didn't crush opponents like this team has. If the Storm had not lost to Omaha they'd be considered the best team ever far and away. With their determination right now, on top of their talent, experience, and top notch coaching, there's no reason to think that this won't be another Storm blowout...especially at home. Dixon also has a chip on his shoulder coming into this game. It'd be very surprising to me if it ended up a close contest. Tri-Cities is a good team, definitely, but this Storm team should handle them like everyone else I think. It's true, the Storm have everything to lose and a choke here would be the biggest of all time perhaps. It is a mixed bag when you have a dominant team like this, just ask the Patriots team that lost to the Giants in the superbowl a few years ago.

A little perspective on this season - The 2011 Storm are averaging 70 pts a game. In the previous 11 years(including the 2000 Cobras), the Storm have eclipsed the 70 pt margin only 9 times. They've done it 11 times this season alone.

So is the talent level that much higher in the IFL this year than the APFL?

So is the talent level that much higher in the IFL this year than the APFL? The talent level between the IFL and APFL is pretty large. The Bricktown Brawlers replacement team would've fit right in with the APFL though. The Bandits would've been a good IFL team though, just like they always have been. They've been unfortunate to play in the toughest division every year is all.

Some of the teams in other indoor leagues put up high numbers as well, but their rules are more closer to arena rules despite the indoor moniker.

My feeling was at least 21 points. I was thinking 96pts for over/under just because the Storm defense has turned it up a notch for the playoffs, but I can also see a shootout occurring. I'm very curious to see how Tri-Cities O-line holds up while facing the Storm defensive line.

I only asked that becasue the Storm are so dominate this year, and people said the title was determined when the Storm beat the Beef. Other than the Storm and Beef were the IFL teams good this year? Mid-Missouri, and Kansas Keyotes in the APFL were horrible teams. I think Iowa Blackhawk were more competitive in previous years, but their talent was old this year.

Storm are definitely heads and shoulders above everyone else. Only the Beef gave them problems.
The other 11 playoff teams each had their moments this season and are good teams.
Seattle and Wichita were coming on strong at the end after slow starts (a new owner and coach jump started Seattle and a new QB and coach jump started Wichita).
The teams just below them showed flashes, but couldn't put it all together for the entire season.
Arizona was bad all year. Bricktown became the worst when they let go of their regular players.
I would say the talent level of 20 out of 22 teams was pretty good. No question to me that the IFL has the best talent level overall of all the leagues as well.

I think the talent levels so something like this (left is better) <-*--IFL- ----- -> *******<- APFL--- --- ----> meaning this years SC roster could have been the best Bandits team in a while in the same league as the Storm...depending on schedule from 9-6 to 7-7 probably... Iowa would have been 3 or 4 win team... the rest appear to be better ran than the bottom of the IFL, but less on-field talent. Bricktown (regulars) versus Mid-Mo (for example) would be a toss up..

You're giving waaaay too much credit to the APFL there. SC pulls the average of a 5 team league WAY up.. my fear is that instead of the league rising to SC's level, SC will fall to their level and (former) Bandit fans will long for the days when they were getting beat in the last minute by the Storm.
