Highlights from the Press Conference:
Benizio mentioned 26 teams in the league, so I assume we'll have some expansion markets being announced not long after the season is over. He did mention some Mid-West expansion and a potential rival for Sioux Falls.
Riggs made a joke about Tryon not paying attention at league meetings.
Tryon made a joke about counting the number of years Sioux Falls has been around using his fingers (12 btw, years...not fingers).
Tryon called Teri Carr the second best owner in the league (a joke he made previously on the coaches show this week).
Tryon said they've taken a few risks on the halftime shows this year and some haven't worked out (laughter heard).
Shackleford mentioned that after losing to Billings four out of four times last year, that the Fever built this year's team to try to beat them (later Billings folded and most of their players are now starting in Sioux Falls, moreso than former Storm players).
Shackleford also mentioned that last year they played zone defense and knew they had to get better players in order to go to man-to-man and have a chance against Chris Dixon.
Fever WR Joey Hew Len is still injured, but if passes one more test tomorrow he can be cleared to play (broken ribs is the injure I believe).
Shackleford's 70-19 khaki pants here also mentioned again (think Silverfox brought it up to him...lol).
Fever radio announcer, Michael McDonald, was also interviewed. He said Teri Carr started the franchise with her father in 2005, but now Teri is the one making all the decisions. He credited the Fever's success the last two years to the hiring of Shackleford. Silverfox mentioned that Shackleford is a great recruiter. He didn't think the Fever would make the title game after losing to Fairbanks at the end of the season, but after they beat Colorado in the Quarterfinals, he knew they had the potential to go all the way. Sang the accolades of Hew Len, who hasn't played the last two games due to injury. Silverfox thinks the game will be decided in the fourth quarter and McDonald agreed as long as the Fever could keep it close until then (lol).
Benizio mentioned a few dormant teams WILL be coming back (in my mind that's probably a nod to Billings and San Angelo).
Sioux City winning the APFL was mentioned to Benizio and he said he was happy for them and Bob Scott. He said he would love to have them back, and the interviewer cut in and said maybe someday down the road.
Asked about the quality of the players since he owned Odessa in his first year, Benizio called the current players "a breath away from the NFL." It was also mentioned that 17 members of the Tri-Cities Fever have had NFL contracts.

I like the part when Benizio brings up the very real possibility of him getting booed tomorrow.

Broken ribs and a collapsed lung from a game a couple of weeks ago.

Highlights from Audio Show:
Teri Carr recounted her history of starting out watching her brother play for Billings for three year and then starting the Fever in 2005 with her father. They won the NIFL Championship in 2005 and lost to Billings (eventual Champ) in the 2006 NIFL playoffs. Her and her father sold the team in 2007 and from 2007-2009 the team played arena ball in the AF2. Her and her husband bought the team back in 2010. They lost to Billings (eventual Champ) in the playoffs last year.
Shackleford referred to this year's Storm as Billings East.
