Someone over at UFLAccess.com came up with the idea of starting a fan owned indoor football team. The idea is to have the same basis of the Packers share system, but to work much more like a few soccer teams in Europe where fans make all the major decisions by votes. This has been done many times in Europe for there are about 5-10 soccer teams 100% fan owned, but no football team in the USA is run like this, so this can be very unique. There is obviously a ton of work to do to get this off the ground, but it is a very interesting concept. The first set of people interested are going to set up some kind of board so we can get things started. There is a message board just to discuss ideas and such and to see if this is even feasible for an indoor team. I hope we get some interest as I would like to work on this with those guys as well. I figured I would post this here because this is where the true indoor fans come to chat!

I wish them luck.
My thoughts are that it's a long shot to work out. Anything's possible though.

This sounds like a fun and a great idea.

I lived in Europe for 5 years and I can tell you that pro soccer leagues are more stable over there (they have a whole system for bringing teams up and down though different sized leagues as their play progresses).
If you get enough people with money and someone trustworthy to run it, then it can work here too. The team would have to jump leagues when leagues fail though (teams like Sioux Falls and Omaha that have been around for 12 years have been in 4 different leagues each).
I'm jaded on any chance of success though. My optimism with anything regarding the business side of indoor football is pretty much gone at this point.

Totally understand, there is not many reliable people out there in this business from what I have seen! I have only been following indoor for a couple of years though
