Quick recap time. The SIFL has tried to get a team to play in Houston in each of it's three years and the first two years it has failed. This year is definitely another failure, but the team is still playing as of right now. The Stallions were supposed to be playing in Houston (hence the name Houston Stallions) at the H & P E Arena, but the team failed to finalize a deal with the arena before the season started. For their first home game to start the season it was against the Rio Grande Valley Magic and it was moved to Corpus Christi, Texas and the general public was given free admission since they had ties to neither team. The Stallions second home game was canceled since their scheduled opponent, the Lafayette Wildcatters, folded before the season began. Their last four games were then scheduled to be 70 miles away in Winnie, Texas at Nutty Jerry's Entertainment Complex in what was a outdoor rodeo arena converted into an indoor facility...but with too low a ceiling to effectively kick a football in.
Since this weekend's game was supposed to be played at Nutty Jerry's we can only assume that that deal has now fallen through as well and that the Stallions still has no home arena to play in. The league should just call them a travel team at this point, because that is what they will end up as...if they can finish the season.

Magic Indoor Football vs. Houston To Be Played This Wednesday
3/28/2011
HIDALGO - Indoor football--Valley style--and it'll be played on a weeknight.
That's right, the RGV Magic, the Valley's Southern Indoor Football League team, will play Wednesday, March 30th, against the Houston Stallions. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday in Houston, but the Stallions still do not have an arena to call home, so both teams decided to play the game on the 30th at State Farm Arena. Kickoff's scheduled for 7:05pm.
The Stallions beat the Magic 52-20 in the season opener for both teams on March 20th.
