LOL! at the notion of comparing the SIFL in it's current state to the IFL, it's problems be****ed. Night and day. I know. I was surprised they made that comparison like that. Like I said...the UIF apologists are finally starting to see what junk they've go to work with. I told you so. I mean, it wouldn't surprise me for a second that the SIFL shows itself as easily better ran than the UIF (not that we're saying an awful lot there) I haven't stopped laughing since my first post. I consider myself a fan of the entire indoor football sport itself and like to look beyond simply the UIF/IFL (which admittedly has plenty of their own problems), but when you start talking 'road only' teams, I don't take your league seriously. End of story. Whether it's just an indication of the downturn of the entire sport or what, you'd be a fool not to consider the IFL the premier league in our sport, in my opinion.

Tsk, tsk, tsk. Again you're failing in your bashing attempts. The CIFL was very clear as to why the name change was made. There were more teams after 2006 away from the Great Lakes than near it. Not bashing, just an observation. They look more than ever like the Great Lakes Indoor Football League with their current team lineup, moreso than when they started with New Jersey in the lineup. Here's a map view of the current team alignment: www.oursportscentral.com/services/maps/largemap.php?l_id=126 That's definitely in the region of "Great Lakes" and not "Central." Looking forward to seeing Houma dismantle Texas. Anyone know if this game will have audio on the internet?

if a team is road only and competitive, shouldn't they be given some credit?
I mean, you say you don't take them seriously, but if a road only team needs some time in their market to get prepared and can still go out on the road and fill dates and play solid games, what is the issue?
btw BC, the 'C' in 'CIFL' doesn't stand for 'Central'...

I know, but it should since they aren't Continental either. As for road teams, I think they're fine as exhibition matches in preparation for joining full time, but not for counting in regular season standings...that I don't agree with. We all know that that is just a tool to boost win - loss records of other teams. That said, the IFL makes no sense either when it doesn't even have two teams in the same division (Bloomington and Omaha) not even play each other in the regular season. At least the SIFL has a balanced schedule. I really hope there is an internet radio broadcast of this game since I won't be able to follow Sat's matchup.

I didn't say anything about the team itself, just that I don't take leagues with road only teams seriously. I stand by that statement.

This is a true statement. The CIFL this year is more Great Lakes than it ever has been. But you're still failing in your bashing attempts. I'm not as stupid as your UIF apologists want to paint me, and I think you know that. And really...you have to explain something to the guy with a Geography degree with a map? "Look, here's a map, because you don't know where those cities are." Really? I'm still amused that the SIFL has basically been called equal to the IFL here. Then backtracked by St. Mary...but still credited. Intriguing, and they haven't played a down yet. Oh how far the IFL has fallen. And Houma will win, but it won't be a blowout. I think all five "teams with homes" are going to be pretty good. The InFL was competitive (in a Sioux Falls Championship Invitational sort of way), and an awful lot of those players have moved on to the SIFL. If the worst thing that happens to the SIFL is that they have a team that plays all road games by design...they'll have had a better season than the IFL when it's all said and done.

No radio link for the game, but there were updates on the SIFL site (or Twitters, which I don't know much about). I hope the league can get something else, like radio broadcasts. I don't care for the IFL's scroll bar updates or the SIFLs main site updates, since you have to continually refresh the page and the updates take too long. The SIFL site is still showing in certain areas that the game is still in the 4th quarter, when it fact it finished over an hour ago. No stats yet either.
FINAL Texas 46 Houma 27
