They are still doing it though. So do indoor teams. I fail to see the point here. When you've got a 19-22 man gameday roster, you're going to have a lot of two way play.

That wasn't the main point, but harp on it all u want. Indoor teams do it only when injuries occur during a game.

There is some ground game. Sure it is not like some IFL teams but even with the "arena' style there is some smash mouth football.
Now back on topic, If one IFL team moves then I would think the others would look long and hard at travel, and dues to make their decision.

It's possible all the IFL teams could move, but I don't think so. There are a lot of sandboxes and not everyone plays together well, so I doubt all the kiddies will jump into one.
I expect the Intense to have the most lonestar teams and the IFL to have a few or handful. I don't see another league encroaching into the state for 2012, but never say never. I expect the SIFL to fold (although there's a slight chance they could mimic year one and have 4-5 teams in the South and perhaps a Texas team).
Some (i.e. miniscule) ground game is good 4 u, but it does nothing for me. At the rate the game is going, outdoor included, I'll probably stop watching altogether in a few years anyway and get into the X-games or extreme sports instead. The Beef got me into indoor football for a reason, I identify with a great defense and strong running game. The pass, pass, pass is for the birds.

Gotta figure Bricktown will be hitting the bricks. Now the team may move to another market but that market looks burnt. If Amarillo was to go with Dittman than that means the San Angelo team that he has plans to restart will join as well. That leaves WT and Allen on an island, and a long way to swim for a game. So the way I see it if one joins the others may follow. If only San Antonio had an arena suited for this league.

Have you heard something on Amarillo going to Intense?

Me naaa I just think an owner (of two teams) looking for a better business plan and perhaps travel plan would be looking at those options. Just saying of the owners he might have more to loose than the others and none of them want to keep losing money.

Abilene hasn't been mentioned in any of the articles. Perhaps they're thinking of rejoining the IFL?

www.reporternews.com/news/2011/jun/25/owners-optimistic-after-ruff-riders-4-8-record/Anderson said he would like to see SIFL teams in other West Texas cities such as Odessa and Amarillo, creating natural rivalries and cutting down on travel. Those cities currently are in the IFL. Last season, the Ruff Riders made two trips to Rio Grande Valley and trips to Mobile, Ala., Lake Charles and Corpus Christi. Wichita Falls and San Angelo also are possibilities, Anderson said. He said the league also would like to establish markets in the Dallas area (possibly Belton and/or Tyler) as well as western Louisiana. "None of this is final, but they essentially want all of their markets in place by Oct. 1," Anderson said,

Interesting. I know they'll be pressuring the IFL Texas teams to jump, but will they?

If Allen ends up having to travel to play the Ice and win then to play the Storm their travel buget has to be in the high tens of thousands. Sorry I just don't see many owners willing to do that when it is not needed. Keep it regional and you can still get the same sponsors and chances are even more fans.

Depends on how many teams the IFL is looking at in the region for next year. Right now it's just three (Allen, Amarillo, and West Texas). San Angelo may or may not be back. I haven't heard of any other expansion down there yet.
Let the war for Texas begin again.

I heard Dittman will institute that at games if he wins. The key is the Alamo market.

Upgraded league return from doubtful to questionable.
