BTW, HDNet is available online. Not sure about the Inside the MMA program, but PM me and I can help you with getting it if you want.
The UFC now has their own weekly show which I watched, only a half hour, which was ok. I also watched the MMA Awards Show, it was pretty good. Jon Jones won fighter of the year on all the awards shows I watched, deservedly so.

Dream & M-1 Global New Year 2011 in Japan
Finally finished watching the Dream 2011 New Year's Event (wow, it ran for 8 1/2 hours. The comments below are only on the MMA fights and not the kickboxing and wrestling matches.
Yusup Saadulaev beat Hideo Tokoro: Saadulaev ended the fight quickly when he picked up Tokoro and slammed him head first onto the mat, instantly knocking him out. Tokoro was carried off on a stretcher as they were not sure if his neck was damaged or not. He was out for a good minute, it was pretty scary.
Antonio Banuelos beat Masakazu Imanari (2 round semi-final Bantamweight tournament match): Very methodical fight since Imanari was trying for takedowns and was content to dance around until he could get one. Banuelos got in more punches while avoiding most of the takedowns and got the win.
Bibiano Fernandes beat Rodolpho Marques (2 round semi-final Bantamweight tournament match): These two Brazilian fighters were very impressive with their Jui Jitso skills. Fernandes hammered Marques on the hamsting with his elbow early on while they were grappling. Fernandes then had his elbow going into his ribcage. Elbows to the head were not allowed for these fights, so Fernandes deftly applied his elbows elsewhere and Marques could do nothing to stop it. Fernandes got the decision thanks to his early elbow damage.
Hayato Sakurai beat Ryo Chonan: Neither one were great strikers, but Chonan did land some good blows in the 3rd Round. Sakurai controlled the ground game though and got the win by decision.
Tatsuya Kawajiri beat Kazuyuki Miyata: Kawajiri took Miyata (an olympic wrestler) down, mounted him and nearly submitted him (Miayata was saved by the first round bell). Kawajiri's grappling and ground game was excellent. Kawajiri took Miyata down a couple more times in the second round and masterfully got him to tap out right before the bell rang. If you had told me one of them was an olympic wrestler going into the fight, I would've guessed Kawajiri...great fight.
Megumi Fujii beat Karla Benitez: Fujii took Benitez down early and got the arm submission for a tap out. Would love to see Fujii take on Cyborg.
Bibiano Fernandes beat Antonio Banuelos (3 round Bantamweight tournament final): Early in the first round Banuelos tripped and fell back and Fernandes got on him and pounded him out for a tko stoppage by the ref. Fernandes wins the tournament and the Dream Bantamweight Title.
Hiroyuki Takaya beat Takeshi Inoue: Takaya dominated this Featherweight Title Fight. Both were content to make it a striking contest. Takeshi seemed to sleepwalk though it and didn't look motivated at all, so Takaya got it by an easy decision.
Shinya Aoki beat Satoru Kitaoka: Great grappling contest between these two. Aoki dominated the 5 rounds, but I give great credit to Kitaoka for holding off the many submissions and lasting to lose by decision. Kitaoka was able to get some parting knees to the head of Aoki at the end as some revenge (he definitely didn't look like he liked Aoki much, I doubt I would either if I was being controlled by him).
Fedor Emelianenko beats Satoshi Ishii: As expected Fedor ended the fight early in first round (2:26 mark) with a knockout.

I don't think so. I think it was only on pay per view.

UFC 142 Fantasy:
We both got 50 out of 50 points for the second straight week. You for picking two fights correctly with 25pts on each fighter and me for picking all five fights correctly and spreading the points out. I feel good about going 10 for 10 the last two weeks, but I know I can't keep that up as so much goes into a fight and nearly anyone can be upset with a fortuitously timed punch/elbow/kick/knee. I may change my strategy to go along with yours, will have to think about it.

Ha, doesn't matter, we got the same amount of points. If I see 2 fights that I'm very confident with I'll use your strategy.

I just watched a National Geographic special on Fight Science - Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) from 2007. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. It's got Randy Couture, Bas Rutten, Tito Ortiz, and Dean Lister in it. Loved it!!!!!!!!

how about Barbosa's heel hook? That was sick! I haven't seen it yet. I haven't watched the last two events yet because it took forever to wade through the Dream/M1 Global New Year's Eve special that was nearly 9 hours. I got about 8 more hours of stuff to watch to catch up (since I watch the prelims and lead-in shows as well). I'm looking forward to it now though, sounds like it was sick.

Looks like you gained 5 points on me last week. I haven't watched the fights yet, still behind, but evidently Prater beat Silva as the original scoring was reversed...so I got that fight (5 pts) wrong after all. I'm only 8pts ahead now.
BTW, I picked all 5 fights again for tonight. I'll see how that strategy goes one more time.

Your strategy worked again. I lost another 5 points when I mispicked one of the 5 fights. We're neck and neck now, I need to change my strategy.
