I'm really excited for the fights tomorrow! I have my DVR set cause I'm not sure I'll be home.

I'm watching Strikeforce: Rockhold vs Jardine right now. I got Aldo/Mendez and queued for after that. If I can make it through both of those I'll watch last week's event as well (so easy to get behind).

Lawal and Rockhold looked good in their last Strikeforce fights, but I'd love to see them up against the top UFC competitors. Lawal's victory was declared a no contest this past week though due to him testing positive for an illegal substance. He's appealing it trying to say it was probably some prescribed medication or something, so we'll see on that.

Watching UFC 142 now.
Holy cow, the Barbosa spinning heel kick to the head of Etim for a knockout was amazing...wow.

Rousimar Palhares leg lock submission over Massenzio was a thing of beauty...crazy sick...loved it...wow!!!!!!!!!
Erick Silva got disqualified for blows to the back of the head of Prater (who was already finished anyway), but man he's a young upcoming fighter who we should see good things from in the future. I've seen worse blows to the back of the head than that, and his blows were more on the side of the head than anything, but I also understand the need for safety.
Another nice win for Belfort over Johnson. Johnson didn't make weight for the second time and was fired from the UFC after the fight. Johnson is very talented and will be back in the UFC, but he should definitely come back in a higher weight class, one he can consistently make weight in.
Jose Aldo won as expected over Mendes, but I was surprised Mendes went out so fast honestly. Just shows how great Aldo is.
The Brazilian crowd was one of the best cheering ones I've seen, but that was mainly when one of their countrymen were fighting and winning (which was pretty much every fight).

I give mad respect to Joe Rogan for disagreeing with the ref's decision and calling him out on it right afterwards in the ring.

Since our fantasy league is down, I'll spill on my picks this week:
I put 25pts on Evans and 25pts on Sonnen (which is kind of weird, because in the back of my mind I feel Bisping will win...lol).

I was right on my two picks from last night. Sonnen/Bisping was close, that decision could have went either way in my eyes (can't believe one judge had it 30-27...whatever). Rogan thought Bisping won the first two rounds and I can't really disagree with him.

I can understand Diaz being upset, but he did lose the fight. Both are in great cardio shape, but for Condit to dance around all 5 rounds and avoid most of the punishing blows by Diaz, while landing more strikes himself, won him the fight. The rematch should be very interesting to say the least.

Take a look at this video from the Bellator 60 Title Fight between Curran vs Warren. This is definitely one of the worst examples of a referee not stopping the fight when he should for fighter safety. This was so obvious that it was over that how he let it go on for that long is unbelievable:
Go to the 1:12 mark:

Darn, I was really looking forward to that fight.
"Another one bites the dust, and another one's gone, another one's gone, another one bites the dust. Hey, they're gonna get you too ..." (who's next, they're dropping like flies).
