Coming into the game Tri-Cities (1-0) is fresh off a dominant high-flying arena-like victory over Everett, while Nebraska (0-0) is coming off a dominant preseason tune up shutout over a semi-pro opponent. Which team will be more Danger-ous here?

Things that I took away from the game...
Mayo is NOT going to make anybody forget Dasher, who was the likely starter till he suffered a separated shoulder in the preseason game. A handful of passes bounced harmlessly on the turf, five yards in front of the receiver. Another three sailed wildly and harmlessly 15 yards to the left or right of anybody... leaving the impression that somebody forgot the route. Tack on a few that were just too high for the open receiver in the endzone. Finally, look at the three picks, which don't include the dropped one he threw on a scramble to a white shirt standing alone in the endzone, just ten yards in front of him... but the defender was so surprised that he dropped it.
Next... we shake our heads at the three do-able field goals and the missed PAT by the Danger. Tejada booms kickoffs high, deep and within a whisker of the scoreboard, but the kick scoring is not improved at all, in spite of the nice performance in the scrimmage game.
Lastly, the three times that the secondary covered all the receivers so nicely that the Fever QB had no choice but to tuck and run, and there was nobody home to stop him till he made a huge gain.
Now, on to the good. When the defense line was good, it was very very good. So too, was the secondary. They broke up some nice passes, including a pair on 4th downs.
In spite of all the things the Danger did wrong, they were within a foot of potentially tying the game midway through the 4th quarter, but came up short.
Been there, done that last year.
I have to say that I'm encouraged, but not yet sold on the 2012 edition of the Danger.

I agree. The defense held an explosive Fever team down for most of the game, but unfortunately they just couldn't get it going on offense.
Is Dasher done for the year?...or is there a chance for him to return?
Monday night's game is looking like it's going to be a hard hitting defensive affair already.

Is Dasher done for the year?...or is there a chance for him to return? I haven't heard the severity of the separation or if surgery will be involved. Just doing some cursory surfing around the web, it looks like you can start rehab as soon as the pain goes away in two or three weeks and be "healed" in as soon as six weeks, but it could take up to twelve. Just depends...

and.. perhaps the bigger issue.. throwing shoulder or non-throwing shoulder.. gonna make a HUGE difference in when/if he'd come back...
