I went Colorado at Tri-Cities. I believe these are two of the top teams in the league and this should be another classic, as were all three of their matchups last year.

TexXx's Takes for Week 3
9 Mar (Fri): Cedar Rapids Titans @ Green Bay Blizzard ***
Last week, Green Bay got back on track dispatching Reading, meanwhile Cedar Rapids pulled the minor upset offing Veteran indoor Qb Dixie Wooten and the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. Cedar Rapids is stout on defense but Green Bay is still an odds on favorite to host a playoff game.
9 Mar (Fri): Sioux Falls Storm @ Wichita Wild * 1/2
First road trip for Sioux falls after a week off, Wichita comes in 0-2 and, although they made is close in Omaha, I’ve seen nothing from Stabach and Co to indicate that they give the Storm much competition. Notable interests in this game are the return of Solomon and TexXx’s first road trip of the year.
10 Mar (Sat): Colorado Ice @ Tri-Cities Fever ****
Last season these teams gave us two of the best games of the regular season that didn’t involve last second missed field goal attempts. I have seen nothing from either team to indicate they’ve slipped much, and I expect this game again to go down to the wire. On paper, the GOTW… butter, no salt…
11 Mar (Sun): Bloomington Edge @ Lehigh Valley Steelhawks * ½
Both teams have been kinda ho-hum. Both are led by veteran indoor QB’s, but I’ve not seen much out of Wooten so far this season. I also don’t really think it’s his fault as he needs a standout WR which Lehigh Valley is lacking at the moment.
11 Mar (Sun): Allen Wranglers @ New Mexico Stars ***
T.O. makes a road trip… apparently there are some decent hotels in Rio Rancho… Should be interesting to see how he fits back into an offense that did just fine without him. Allen is stacked, with or without the circus side show that he brings.
11 Mar (Sun): Everett Raptors @ Wyoming Cavalry * Matt Strand has joined Jared Lorenzen and Troy Travis on team cheeseburger. He still has a sweet arm for the indoor game, and Everett looked really, really bad against Tri-Cities two weeks ago. If Strand and his receivers can find themselves on the same page of the playbook, this one could get ugly. If not, I’m afraid we’re in for a slopfest of biblical proportions.
12 Mar (Mon): Omaha Beef @ Nebraska Danger ***
The Nebraska Bowl, the Beef blew a sizeable lead and let Wichita make it close last week, and the Danger stood toe-to-toe with a really good tri-cities team until the end when they ran out of gas. TC having a game played already probably did a lot to help them finish the Danger off. The Beef are young. Younger than they’ve been in a long long time, but if they can gel fast enough they’re in discussion for a playoff spot in the United Conference.

Nice write up again. I agree on Owens, they did fine without him. I think he brings added pressure to the offense just by being around. It will be interesting to see how his first road game goes.
