Working on a 2nd source, but an acquaintance of mine with their ear pretty close to the ground still has indicated that your friend and mine Tommy "Slappy B" Benizio will resign as league commissioner... ;D ...to become president of the Allen Wranglers wait, what...

Life has never been fair and neither has indoor football. This isn't surprising to me in the least. I wish life and all sports were fair, but oh well. It also amuses me when people defend their own teams as being angels and having never done a single thing wrong...lol. Just like the title character in "House" says "Everybody Lies," well in sports all teams cheat (but some go to Bill Belichick lengths while others do a little something here and there).

like anyone is surprised by this. If they would have made me commish back a couple of years ago(and pay me a decent wage, not 75K) there would not be the circus you have now. It would still be a circus but at least it would be a fair circus. And no there would be no TO making crazy demands holding teams hostage. But no one ever said tommy b was a man of honor.

$75,000 plus commission for expansion teams (expected to be closer to $100,000) were the figures I once saw...
Shoot, put that job in Fla, TX, or SD where there is no state income tax... becomes more like 85-90 real quick

Don't be fooled by FLA. They get you on other taxes including property tax. I pay 10 times more for my empty property in FLA(2 acres) than I do for my 40 acres in West TX.

That's why Ohio's not such a bad place, so long as you're smart enough to live outside city limits...

Is there even a short list of candidates making the rounds yet?

What they should look for:
1)They should hire someone with NO indoor/arena football experience or ties. In fact the less football knowledge is better.
2) Someone who looks good on camera and can speak.
3) Since the person will only be a pawn for the owners the person should be a salesperson foremost to bring in league sponsor and new owners.
4) The person should understand the is entertainment FIRST and actual football last ot next to last. This way they can think outside the box on improving sales and promoting the league.
If you look at these three a former state beauty queen with an MBA would be the best fit. The example to present is the drug reps who are former beauty queens and that works.
