Who brought those 4 teams was cecil. Wrong. Van Dyke had nothing to do with the United IFL. Haines bought his assets and renamed the league the United IFL from the Ultimate IFL. Haines didn't buy the assets of every team, only those who he wanted and could sell to others. He had no scruples or standards, he just wanted bodies (teams). He didn't have to bring Rome or the Hound Dogs over. He could've gone the PIFL route and stuck with strong teams only, but no. Instead he brought the Hammer back from dead at the last minute and substituted them with the Western PA Wildcatz semi-pro team. Rome, Huntington, Mississippi, and Western PA Sting being in the league right now are all by his actions. Research the AIFL and his hockey leagues and you'll see the same thing. Expect the same again next year as well. Haines is doing a great job with the Tarpons, but as far as running the league, he is doing an absolute sh***y job (just like always). He will never go the PIFL route btw, once a scam artist, always a scam artist. He'll be looking for money from other teams wanting into the league next year. Those teams won't be of high quality though, they'll be AIF level.

OK with the semantics yes the UNITED IFL is Haines and Taylor. Cecil killedthe Ultimate IFL as he did not vett the other teams. Poor vetting was done with Mississippi as well.
Being the leage owner has cost Haines more $$$ than what he got in. That is why a merger is more possible than you may think.
As far as running a league, it is time for someone else. I have told him that as well and he is receptive more than you think.

All teams were re-vetted when they came into the United IFL. Haines knew exactly what he was letting in. Haines is responsible, stop trying to let him off the hook. It doesn't sell.
He's not going to merge with any league, no league would merge with him anyway. He's bringing the league back next year, he said so himself THIS WEEK. Why do you think that is? Because he makes money off it.
