Fort Collins, CO-The Colorado Ice Professional Indoor Football team is going on the road to take on the Wyoming Cavalry this Saturday, May 12th, 2012.
This game marks the final matchup in a 4 game series between the Ice and Cavalry. The Ice has managed to remain undefeated in the series and are looking for a win after last week's tough loss to the Nebraska Danger.
The Ice let the Danger squeak by with a win, which also shattered the Ice's undefeated home record. In the only matchup against the Danger this season, the Ice were unable to pull ahead. A few good plays by the Danger and a few mistakes by the Ice left them just shy of their 6th win leaving them 5-4 going into this game.
The loss wasn't all bad as the Ice have been able to tweak things over the past week to ensure the same mistakes won't be repeated against the Cavalry. Against the Danger, the Ice had a few standout plays including a fumble recovery from LB Prince Hall (#40) and an interception by DL Chris Bradwell (#93).
The adept Ice defense will be essential in aiding to a fourth win against the Cavalry. They have racked up 12 sacks, 414 tackles and 3 tackles so far in the 2012 season. Not to be outdone are the Ice offense who average 48.3 points per game and roughly 218 yards per game. Although there were a few hiccups in the kicking game, the Ice are still amongst the top in extra point percentage and kicker, Aric Goodman (#9) will help add to the Ice's score.
The Wyoming Cavalry are coming off a bye week and their previous game was a loss to the Colorado Ice, 48-33. The Cavalry have won 2 of their last 3 games however have failed to show up at a contest between the Ice this season.
