The Colorado Lightning cancelled their home game yesterday against the Kansas Koyotes.
Colorado's best players went to Cheyenne and played for them against Council Bluffs last night.
I asked Idale Graves if the team had folded, this is the reply:"No sir. We are still alive. We had to forfeit last night due to some internal issues but we look forward to completing our season in the APFL." So according to Graves they haven't folded and only had internal issues. Ha, this will be good ... NOT.

Idale Graves had this to say on the players that left to join Cheyenne:"Everyone we had on our roster was good. They were interchangeable. If they left, we are not bringing them back. I wish them well. I hope the move made Cheyenne stronger long term."

Wow, so wonder if they were getting paid and decided to boogey. Either way this team is done.

I was asking Graves these questions on facebook and Bob Scott (Sioux City owner) also asked a question in our thread:"If there are no issues please tell us why you had to cancel the game. And also what assurances do others have that you really will finish. For those of us that deeply care about this game and our fans I feel we deserve a detailed explanation." So far Graves hasn't replied to Scott and I doubt there will be a reply, on facebook at least.

Well with the second forfeit victory in as many weeks can we assume they are done then?

It's indoor football, you can never assume anything. I'd estimate they're at 95% done though.

This is a shame having a team in the Colorado market seemed like a great think for the APFL. I guess the air mattresses were a sign of things to come . Unfortunately this is going to impact the rest of the APFL teams that still have the lightning on their schedule.

Well since they are handing out forfeit victories I guess ass long as you don't have them at home it's not a huge thing. I knew as soon as I seen how tiny their arena plus the air mattresses it was over.

The easy route is to get traveling team(s) for the other teams (APFL) home games. They (APFL) should charge half price for the game to build fan base.

I think so. The game tomorrow has been cancelled and is another forfeit win for Kansas.

the worst part about this is for the fans who have paid to watch a game even if it was probably going to be a blow out atleast they got to watch something

This weekend's game AT Kansas has been canceled and the arena said it was because the Colorado team folded. That makes three canceled games on their behalf now as well as the league owner's team saying they've folded. I think we can officially say they're done at this point.
