This past weekend two records were the subject of many people's focus. Most penalties by one team in a game
&
Highest pass completion percentage in a gameEvidently the league office did not know that Chris Dixon went 18 for 18 (100% rate) in Wyoming back on 20 May 2011. Either that or Colorado didn't check, I've heard different accounts. Anyway, Colorado announced after their game this weekend that their QB, Sanders, broke the IFL record by going 16 for 16 (also 100%). I wish the league would put their records online at their website so these things would be more clear, since this isn't the first, and I doubt it will be the last, time confusion over league records has come up. - - - - - - - - - So just for the record, here are the holders of the above mention records: Highest pass completion percentage in a gameChris Dixon, QB, Sioux Falls: 18 pass completions in 18 pass attempts (100%) at Wyoming (20 May 2011), ifl.fbstats.pointstreak.com/football/boxscore.html?gameid=24686
Jeremy Sanders, QB, Colorado: 16 pass completions in 16 pass attempts (100%) at Everett (26 May 2012), ifl.fbstats.pointstreak.com/football/boxscore.html?gameid=31808Most penalties by one team in a gameSioux Falls Storm: 29 penalties for 170 yards at Tri-Cities (26 May 2012), ifl.fbstats.pointstreak.com/football/boxscore.html?gameid=31850

I thought I'd post the NFL record to contrast with the IFL record for most penalties a single team has received in a game (after all the NFL has been around for awhile, so it gives a good base for comparison): Most Penalties, Game: 22 (tied by three teams):
Brooklyn Tigers (vs. Green Bay Packers) Sept. 17, 1944 Chicago Bears (vs. Philadelphia Eagles) Nov. 26, 1944 San Francisco 49ers (vs. Buffalo Bills) Oct. 4, 1998

Awesome work BC. Figures the league office would politely miss a record held by a Storm player. Yes I'm still bitter #2009
