I think most teams have probably thought ahead and have been looking for backup plans if this would happen.

I hope the best for the IFL, but things don't look the best. I know the teams left are pretty much the most solid, but there cannot be any more team losses and desperately need to add teams next season.

This is not a good situation, clearly. It is being handled as well and you can ask for, however. I expected teams to start filling those dates with replacement teams. Less than a month before the season, the league is able to come out with a whole new schedule, using only league teams to fill the holes. IMO, the league has some problems, but I think they responded to this really well. And in all honesty, they are left with 9 strong teams. 9 strong teams might better than 9 strong and one big question mark. With the teams spread out how they are, it will be interesting to see if they can make it through the season without canceling any games, or using replacement teams. If they can make it through this season, and return all 9 teams next year, they MUST add a few as well. I really hope this works. With the amazing job Teri Carr has done here turning around the Fever, it would hurt to lose the team because there is no league for them to play in.

I expect the league to have more losses next year. It will be another interesting off-season for sure.

My theory is that there won't be a league after this year, guessing NEB and CR (with a much lower payroll) go to the CPIFL. The rest join the defunct list with the other 90% of indoor football teams ever created.
Loving is powerless to stop this league from demolishing itself. Too much money got spent by some teams not nearly enough by others, and too many grown men and women acting like children

The IFL is definitely facing a tough road as far as survival goes at their current rate of attrition. I don't see a lot of new teams joining next season to help keep them alive either. Perhaps they devolve into a regional league. Perhaps some of the teams even become a part of a new AF2. I do expect some of the Midwest teams to go to the CPIFL if that league has a semi-successful first season since they have lower operating costs.
