Charlotte is going to end up folding with that travel, what is the closest team hour wise? Psshhh, too far. If they do end up staying in the IFL it will be a huge mistake with no other team nearby.

New Mexico is definatly not folding. They will most likely move to the Lone Star league depending on what happens this week They have a new website at www. newmexicostarsindoorfootball.com

Updated Charlotte's status as an expansion team for 2013. As ridiculous as it seems to me for them to exist so far away from the rest of league, numerous sources are adamant that they will indeed play in the IFL for 2013. I still have my doubts, but for now will have to go with the majority.
Updated Lehigh going to the PIFL.
Rumors on AFL and LSFL teams jumping over. I cannot see any LSFL teams making the move honestly. I could see one or two AFL teams maybe doing it though.
Rumors on Quad Cities expansion as well, all updated.

what would be the advantage of an AFL team jumping to an indoor league? Other than saving money of course

Saving money is probably the primary reason (some teams have been struggling attendance-wise).

And remember, player pay doubles next year with the new contract.

That's true, some costs are going to rise next year.

I believe the details are in the AFL section of this board, if not just do a general search on google and it should come up.

Adding KC would help offset losing Wichita...and it tightens up the footprint a bit that way.
Milwaukee makes nice road trips to and for Green Bay, Chicago and Bloomington.
Taking the Quad Cities from an arena league would be a coup, and fit very nicely into the IFL footprint.

Found out this past weekend that OMAHA is close to having new ownership. That could be another reason that the IFL extended the deadline to see if that takes place. Still waiting on conformation also that they did officially sign to play at Ralston arena.

Yes, I've been hearing that the Beef will be back with new owners in Ralston as well, so hopefully it's true.

Well it looks like Everett is done too. That franchise was so poorly run. I mean in three years they were in three different cities.
At least they had a cool looking mascot though.

Yeah, on a Facebook group there was discussion about the Raptors not paying bills. Its one of those things that kill indoor football. Hate hearing things like that. Now good luck to the next owners that want to put a team in Everett, to get people to work with them. If as an owner you are not committed for at least 3 years to a team, why bother? In some instances (where teams have come and gone before), you need to prove to people you are committed. People get sick of fly by night operations, imo anyways.
