Waiting for signed agreements before making announcements of new teams coming on board, and old teams re-upping for future experiences in the UIFL. The future looks bright and we encourage all those fence-sitters out there to join the league that makes character, fiscal responsibility and team profit as important pillars of the operation. The true personality of this league will become visible as the new owners and returning owners recognize the power that can be realized when we all work together for the common good.
1. Please take a second and think about the first and second sentences. There are only 2 teams that the league doesn't own or have some financial tie with Andy (Erie and EKY). So who are the "fence-sitters?" Teams that don't exist? Who in their right mind would even consider the UIFL as a valid option? 2.The future looks bright (considering the darkness that this season was, a candle would be blinding) and we encourage all those fence-sitters out there to join the league that makes character (false representations of teams and padding stat books), fiscal responsibility and team profit (selling teams to new owners and not telling them about the massive debt rung up by the previous ones. Ask EKY and J-town.) as important pillars of the operation.

The prez's statement is just loads of hogwash. The true character of the league was exposed this year and it wasn't good.
Supposedly the WPA Sting were bought by Bollinger for $100 after Haines bought the league back from Van Dyke. Other expansion teams last year were also bought cheaply from other suckers thinking they were getting in cheap, but then the true reality of costs caught up with them and they went under. Haines will always be running leagues like this, IT WILL NOT CHANGE.

I'm not happy at all with Krause yet. But on the other hand when the Marion owner and I were drinking he was firm on staying in the uifl. You can't stop a liar like that.
And then with the cincy owner, well we all know what kind of a scumbag he really is.

I would suspect these teams are mostly worried that nothing's actually going to change in the UIFL, and aren't going to give anyone the benefit of the doubt until there's clear change in the league's power structure.

Here is my bottom line. I could pay for 4 "threesomes" in Costa Rica for the price of my season tickets not including all the other crap I buy.

you have to remember when Marion and Cincy said they were staying, that was before the CIFL was purchased by the new owners...

no its not, but a verbal commitment means nothing. It happens all the time.
