I only get 4 leagues in 12 seasons.(2001 - 2012) NIFL, UIF, IFL, and the APFL. If the reporter is including the original IFL in 2000 that would be 13 seasons, but the "Bandits" did not play in that league, it was the "Attack". maybe they counted this new league? who knows

maybe they counted this new league? who knows They have not played in the new league yet and that would be in 2013 which will be the 13th season. No, I am pretty sure they have included the original IFL.

Traditionally the IFL teams whose cities and basic management then migrated to the NIFL are treated as one entity, despite the name change. So the paper is not improper in their treatment (though it's 13 years, not 12).

I just hope that Mr. Scott does his homework , and only brings teams with owners who can afford to play the game, and not just living a pipe dream. That's the problem in most of these leagues that start up . The guys have the up front money ,but can't make it thru the season and have to fold. I know it cost money to find out peoples worth , but selection process would stop the teams from folding mid year .
I have read most of the post here , and its good to see that indoor football has a place . I just would like to see it work!! Football is a business and it cost money to make money, So weed the want to be owners out before it starts MR. SCOTT ....
The only team from APFL that was ran right was the Bandits , they won the championship over C. bluffs who was playing with the Omaha Beef players , so they actually beat a IFL team .... C.Bluffs can't afford to play , cheyenne can't afford to play , and I don't really think the team owner from independence can ... bring in the real owners and let the CPIFL RULE ......

Ah, but "real owners" want "real players" and "real players" cost real money, and that's the crux of this entire issue. Even without the questionable APFL leadership from Topeka, one would be hard pressed to call anything the APFL has done in the last decade (apart from existing as a single league) as a success, so something in the formula is flawed.
I don't pretend to know everything about the league since I don't have a dog in the fight. I DO like what the APFL, and as an extension of that the CPIFL is trying to do (local player, no housing, level pay) however execution has been lacking for years in the APFL.
Weeding out deadbeat broke a$$ ownerships groups means making the entry fee higher, and when you make things cost more, you bring in owners who can afford to pay for more things, whether it be nicer hotel rooms on the road, or better team meals, or better training staff and facilities, what have you.
It can all escalate very quickly until you're right back into the world Sioux City left two seasons ago.

Yes we have played in 5 leagues with our 6th to come in our 13th season next season. We were the Attack in the IFL then became Bandits in 01.

The Council Bluffs offensive line could not protect McNear and the Council Bluffs defense could not stop the Bandits. If they had played the entire Beef team, it would've been a different story.
