In case we need tiebreakers at the end if the last remaining players standing get their third strike at the same time, we'll use the following:
A forum mod not left involved in the contest will order the following week's games from 1-8 (or however many games there are) and have the last remaining players to get their final strike to pick each game. If the #1 ranked game has all the same choices by those remaining, proceed down the list until a difference is found and use that game as the tiebreaker since both will have a different team and the contest outcome will hinge on the winner of said game.
This tiebreaker will work because there are only 16 IFL teams this year and 17 weeks (plus three weeks of playoffs) of games to choose from. The farthest the contest can go is 16 weeks before we run out of teams to pick from and it goes into tiebreaker procedures.
Now if we have multiple players left without three strikes after 16 weeks with no teams to pick from, then the contest will also go into sudden death tiebreaking procedures. However, if a player has 1 strike, while everyone else has 2 strikes, the one-strike player will be the winner. If there are multiple 1 strike players and some 2 strike players, the 2 strike players will be eliminated and the 1 strike players will go into the sudden death tiebreaking procedures.
Any questions?

Does it make a difference if they got their 1st or 2nd strike on different weeks from each other? Or are these not relevant in any way?

Shouldn't matter. If two or more are tied at the end, who's better...the one that came on at the end or the one who faltered at the end? Let the winner emerge by breaking the tie with more picks.
