Beef All Time Leading Rusher RJ Rollins and Mike Jones Return for 2013

Ralston, NE – The Omaha Beef today officially announced the first additions of key players from the 2012 campaign as they announce the return of running back RJ Rollins and wide receiver Mike Jones.
Rollins, the 5’11”, 205 lb back out of Minnesota-Crookston is the Omaha Beef all-time leading rusher. During his college career, Rollins set school records with 584 career rushing attempts for 3,043 yards and 29 TD’s. Rollins also set school and NSIC single game records with 52 rushing attempts, 384 rushing yards, and 5 TD’s. Rollins was named the NSIC player of the week five times during his college career and was twice named the NCAA Division II national player of the week.
Jones, the 6’2”, 205lb receiver out of Midland University returns for his sixth season with the Beef, after splitting time in 2012 with the Beef and the Nebraska Danger. Jones recorded five TD’s with the Beef in four games last season,
Omaha head coach Andy Yost said that it is important to bring back veterans for a successful season. “We are thrilled to have the leadership and experience that Mike and RJ bring to our team,” Yost said. “As we continue to assemble the 2013 team, we anticipate many other familiar faces to be officially added to the Beef. That’s provides great continuity for us on the field, and we know our loyal fans are eager to welcome these guys back.”
