Rooting for Iowa, but picking Kansas. Hope Iowa can pull off their first ever win in Topeka and get the Title Game in Iowa.

well again, I'll be riding the team bus down to Topeka to cheer on my Blackhawks.
A little shorter trip than Springfield!
Here's to a HUGE HUGE HUGE win for the Blackhawks.
The Koyotes haven't seen Mell Holiday yet and I think it's about time for the BHs to get that first win down in Topeka.

I was going to take the bus, but I need to get caught up around the house this weekend instead of taking a bus trip down to Kansas. My daughter and I wanted to go, but she'll be leaving for 6 weeks soon for summer vacation and we have things to do unfortunately. Have fun down there. GO BLACKHAWKS, get a win down there...and the title game in Iowa.

I saw Coach Wolfe at the Beef game last night with his wife and Coach Kammrad (offensive coach) and his wife. They were sitting in the end zone and Coach actually caught a kicked ball (kicked balls have to be returned in Omaha), probably out of self defense.
The team left at 11:30 for Topeka, so I'm kind of glad I didn't go on the bus with my daughter, that's too much time with nothing to do. I guess if I'm able to go to a game in Topeka in the future I'll just drive or carpool with friends.
I got an E-mail from the Blackhawks yesterday saying the game would be broadcast so I paid for it and am watching it. It's been a good game so far and Jeremy Poore (GM) and Jake Hiffernan (Owner) are doing a good job on announcing the game, Jeremy with play by play and Jake with color.
The stream freezes up now and then, but clears up pretty quickly so it's not bad at all. The stream is by CyaNet Sports. One thing I don't like is I'm unable to expand the video to full screen due to advertisements since the webpage is in frames. So on my projection screen I'm only unitilizing 40% of the screen, but oh well, you take what you can get sometimes I guess. The only APFL games worth paying video for are matchups between these two teams and they only play one more time in Kansas, unless the title game is there, so 1-2 times would be the most I would pay for another game anyway, so it's not bad. A good game so far too, so that's a plus.
Blackhawks get the ball first in the second half, so hopefully they can get the lead. So far it's been back and forth the entire game, Koyotes score 7, Blackhawks 7, and so the 21-21 tie.

Mel Holliday TD Run, bad snap on PAT is no good with 8.5 seconds left caps off the scoring.
FINAL
Iowa 55, Kansas 35
NOTE: This will only be the second time Kansas has lost in their home field, the other time being against Wichita (which resulted in Kansas still attempting to move the title game to Topeka despite not having won the regular season with an excuse that attendance was low in Wichita...lol...attendance is low at all APFL games, and so Wichita said eff that and Kansas declared themselves champions. Will that happen again this year?...we'll see).
