My understanding is that Wink didn't have a lot to do with the running of the team - that's why he has a GM. I think that's where the problem lies. I don't think it had anything to do with the arena. The GM had the responsibility of running the team - and we came in ill prepared for the season and the team never seemed to gel. The fans had no reason to go back. It was painful to watch most of the time.
That said - I think there will be some improvement. I think the new coach will hopefully help things, and now the Wild knows what it will take to compete. Will they make the playoffs? Doubt it. But will they win a few more games, maybe even one at home? probably

Idk wichita teams have never really been that good. We're good for a little bit but then start thinking we're better than everyone and start to lose look at are baseball team for instance.

I believe Iowa is managed well. But reports I've heard say they only average about 1000 to 1500 in attendance. Conroe WAS managed well, but only drew about 500 fans per game. Conroe was not managed all that well.

Performance at away games isn't all that important to a team's success. So long as they're competitive at home and management does what's best to get people excited about their team, teams will succeed financially.
Both CB and Topeka are decent markets, but neither ownership group has what it takes for any league higher than where they're at.
