Early to guess, but what teams do you think will be back in APFL for 2013?

Kansas.
The rest are in question at this time.

I honestly can't even say for sure that Kansas will return.
Just too much unknown. We'll see come December who has been making plans. Even then it isn't for sure.

I was discussing this with a friend a couple days ago. Here's what I think will happen- Council Bluffs and Sioux City will move to the IFL (or UIFL), and Oklahoma will join the LSFL. Kansas and Mid-Missouri will stay, as well as Colorado will return. Also seeing they need more teams, they will allow Cheyenne to come back (only because they want the money, and need more teams).
Then I could see them getting a team possibly in St. Joe or Joplin, and possibly somewhere like Lincoln or Wichita. The league itself will not only be a shell of its former self, but will also consider it a rebuilding year.
All that hinges on my prediction that Ralph Adams remains in charge of the league. If somehow he is ousted, then SC, CB, and OK stay, as well as KS and Mid-MO. They will look for 1-2 more quality teams, but won't jump the gun on accepting any right away. However, they also wouldn't bat an eye down the line to kick out Mid-Mo if their owners pull some stupid crap (which is pretty good odds).
Personally I think the league would be great at 8 teams, keeping SC, CB, OK, KS, and Mid-MO, and adding a team in Wichita (to rival KS), one in Fort Smith, AR (to rival OK), and one in Joplin or Springfield (to rival MO). CB and SC would already be natural rivals.

I don't think CB can afford the IFL.
Sioux City could, but do they want to pay that much to get minimal return? Oklahoma may or may not have the finances to move. I personally doubt that they do.
St. Joe used to have a team, I suppose they could again. Does Joplin have an arena? Lincoln could probably support a team again, if the price was right at an arena somewhere in town here. (Ice Box won't play ball) Wichita has an IFL team. That town can't support two teams.
Best bet? Teams who want new leadership at the league level will start their own league. The APFL, IN THEORY, is great. In practice it leaves a crap ton to be desired.
A small, regional league that keeps costs bare bones IS A GOOD THING!

The only APFL team that could join the IFL and the IFL would let join is SC.

Ok. Well then it wouldn't to be too shocking to see OK, SC, and CB to form their own league. They might wait a year to do it, but who knows.
I don't know about other towns, I forgot Wichita had a team already, I'm not sure if Joplin had a place. I knew St. Joe had a team, but I was just throwing thoughts out.
I still say the best bet is to find a way to get Adams to step down. If next year is like this one, I don't see APFL lasting too much longer.

That's where investors come in... If OK decides to go, they have the resources to do so.

Yeah, it's very unlike Ralph Adams. I'm curious to know the full story.
