Is this real? Using the NY/NJ Hitmen logos from the old XFL? And the top of the page between the Facebook and Twitter links they use the "wall to wall war" marketing logo used by the original IFL and still has that old IFL logo still on it. Teams changing names? I can't see this working, especially having teams so far apart geographically. Other leagues have a hard time achieving this, but this league can do it?

Today's AIFL facebook post from the league commissioner should tell you all you need to know about the league:

Indy uses the Florida Panthers logo just recolored, Muncie used the logo from the Bandits that were in the LSFL last year before they folded, and the Bucks team uses Fairfield's logo,
Also there are two teams names the wolves and the wolfpack. Why would NY change their name to something that was already in the league and why would the league allow that?

Also there are two teams names the wolves and the wolfpack. Why would NY change their name to something that was already in the league and why would the league allow that? The Sharks owner also owner of the West Virginia team. He change the Sharks name because there is a womens team named the NY Sharks. He must have liked the "Wolves" name, the original name for the WV team. So he took the name for his NY team and renamed the WV team the Wolfpack.

still doesn't make sense why you would have two teams in the same league with the same name.

It's not that big of a deal. The CFL had two teams with the same name for years in a 9 team league. It's better than one team being called Football. (See Osceola 2006 NIFL Season)

This league seems similar to the APFL with the exception they have a league staff in place. Some players get paid some dont etc.The APFL was always a semipro league right? I here the negatives and travel is always an issue. What are the keys to leagues like AIFL making things work? 47

One thing on making a league like the AIFL and APFL work is travel distance. The owners of these teams typically don't have a lot of financial resources and travel costs is one of the first things that does them in. The AIFL is spread out pretty far geographically, so that is the first thing I see them having problems with and causing teams to fold. The AIFL does not have a league staff as you say, but rather one lone guy as commissioner and everything else on down. I'm not impressed honestly. Check out the website, check out the money-making scheme on the league website where he wants players to pay two different league fees to play, etc, etc.
