The Rage dominated everything last night against a semi pro team but this is atleast on paper going to be alot tougher. By my count there are only 3 players left from last year's Rage team so there is a large roster turnover this season. I don't much about Saginaw but I suspect they will jump out on us early. Eventually the Rage will settle in and take command of this one however.
Final Score
Rage 31 Sting 16

I think the Sting win on a last second touchdown to tie and kick the XPA and win it by one. Either that or Sing win by a lot all I know is the sting will win.

Well I didn't get a chance to listen to the game but i'm a little surprised by the scoreline. Wasn't expecting much scoring especially considering the most points the Rage scored last season was 42. And I think that was in the season opener as well. Hopefully the offense won't deep like that this year.
New year, new players, and a new attitude lets keep it rolling next week. ;D

Yeah I saw that. The IFL website is absolutely atrocious right now. I hope someone gets a proper one up soon. Good thing I didn't go there to find out the score when I got home.

Newspaper out of Saginaw is reporting a crowd of 1,100 at this game. Ouch!
Anyone know what Saginaw's attendance was like back in the CIFL?

Better than that. That's three CIFL-to-IFL teams whose attendance has fallen (I don't anticipate the same for Maryland, considering they only drew a couple hundred a game last year).
Premier league? Shouldn't that make fans more excited to go to games?

Not since they know they're going to lose unless they play the others that came over here.

But the "best of the best" come to town - that should be exciting to see! Instead, these teams are losing fans.
The IFL was supposed to cure all the sport's ills. It looks like another crap indoor football league to me. At least they're not asking what we'd llike to see as their mext expansion team.
What a joke.

Well to be fair to the league, it's still the teams' responsibility to promote the team, you cant make someone go to an indoor game that isn't interested, anyone from around Saginaw know what their marketing/promoting is like, i mean they were 1-0, and 55-41 is a hell of a lot better than 82-12 beat down last week, and i guarantee we draw a good crowd tonight

Let's put it this way - there's a reason the *CIFL* isn't sad to have lost most of these teams (Muskegon the exception).
Saginaw's marketing and promotion likely stinks, just like Rochester and Maryland (and largely Muskegon). That's just how they do things.
Not to say the existing CIFL teams do a great job, because quite frankly I don't think any of them do (except maybe Chicago). It's still just a really down time in the sport right now.
