I lived in loveland and heard nothing about the Ice while I lived there but since I already knew they were there I went but that just goes to show they need more of a marketing footprint in that area.

If only there was more marketing with the Commandos, Cincinnati Gardens would've filled 5,000-6,000 seats.

Yep. Failure to market will do you in.

With known arenas:
Toledo- County ownes arena and all sports team in town. Ft. Wayne- Just need a team owner to go with the arena. Canton- Could draw from Akron & Massillion

Will Canton support yet another team? They didn't do very well (as far as attendance) in their last incarnation, but they didn't win either. I believe Haines marketed fairly well though, so that city wouldn't be my first choice to start a new team in.

I believe Haines marketed fairly well though, so that city wouldn't be my first choice to start a new team in. In Year 1, he marketed OK before the season, but the marketing stopped pretty quickly and attendance followed. Marketing never started back up. There's a D-League team (Cleveland Cavs affilliate) in the arena now, so any owner will HAVE to market, because someone else already is.
