What a joke, they should just join the semi-pro developmentally league!! As far as Omaha and Lincoln leaving for IFL, that is a joke at best, the IFL will shut down after this season and the Danger will be begging to join the CPIFL.

Oh I forgot, SF never has earned a championship with local guys, maybe now that those guys have been there for a few years they live there but before not so much.

care to check the 2005-7 rosters there Blitz? I think some of y'all have some medium term memory loss.
Now, currently... yes, however a lot more guys have indeed made Sioux Falls their permanent residence than one might think.
the retired numbers? all of them local guys...
5 Terrance Bryant QB (was living in Rapid when we signed him) 7 Casey Veenhof WR/QB (Huron University, Huron SD) 10 Shannon Poppinga S (Augustana College (SD)) 14 Mark Blackburn LB/S (University of South Dakota) 17 Bobby Perkins CB (University of South Dakota) 21 Corey Walker WR (Southwest Minnesota State) 25 Adam Hicks K (University of South Dakota) 46 Donnie Hilsenroth LB (Morningside College) 93 Nate Fluit DE (Augustana College (SD))
I think so long as we kept Coach Riggs at the helm, we'd be just fine working within the CPIFL's rules. The reason we could very likely be done after this year has everything to do with Bob's ego and less to do with where our players are from or how much they allegedly make/made...
Search around, I've made my predictions a long time ago.. If the CPIFL is successful, and so far it has been, it will end the IFL and Sioux Falls. Neither the Nebraska ownership nor (most of) Cedar Rapids have ever worked with Bob before, though and that's something to watch (part of CR was in La Crosse). Those are the two teams the entire deal hinges on, in my opinion. TC, COL, TX, CHI, GB and WYO are too far outside the CPIFL's footprint, they won't let SF in, ever, so that leaves NEB and CR.
In a perfect world Bob and Todd kiss and make up, Sioux Falls, Cedar Rapids, and Nebraska all join the CPIFL, perhaps Mid-Mo goes away (or Topeka) and we have a very strong league that is less than 10 hours from end to end...Making every road trip, priceless.

Something of note, and I'm not sure if this works for or against us... The CPIFL commissioner got his start in indoor football in the Sioux Falls Storm front office.

Well I meant the years after the ones you posted 05-07 so excuse me there but in the reading it sounded like they have never had mostly out of towners and the past few years is a true example.

We need to let the Storm in, that would bring in another proven team with owners that pays bills and that should be all that mostly matters. Bob came up with the idea of this league but he does not run it and cannot remember for sure but did not think he was like on the committee? So if that is the case then maybe he is a non factor in who is voted in?

Going back to the original topic, further investigation shows that the Kearney Hawks have a website and a Facebook page, a 25 year old owner with a couple of buddies and a dream. No word on if he has an actual day job, much less any experience in sports management.

Would love to see the Beef join again. The CPIFL is only good for the owners. You all hate on the IFL, but its best for the players, they can get paid unlike the CPIFL. I am sure to get slammed, but I think players deserve better. Yes, the IFL will probably die, which really is sad.

What is the difference in pay to justify this? Not much I doubt and the localized playing is leaps and bounds better for fans not just owners. This is all around better for everyone and as you can tell the competition is pretty similar and there really hasn't been to many negatives for the CPIFL to me.

IFL $200 CPIFL $75
I would only say it's better for the owners in the CPIFL in terms of staying afloat much longer. Very few of these teams are turning profits, and most are operating at large losses.

team fails, players have no were to play... kinda simple not trying to sound rude...but if your playing @ this level, sorry you didn't make it, you have a 99.98% chance football will never be full time employment for you. Yes geting more $$ would be nice, but if some one elce will do it for less, why (from a bizness persective)should owners pay the extra lets not forget the differences in league fees and travel..
Cheyenne is a great example...I don't know player salreyse or league fees, but the DIFL has to be drastically less then the IFL.... they are stuck between 2 IFL teams (Calvary and ICE ).. yet there attendance numbers are simular... having to withdraw form the IFL was likly a wind fall for them this year..

As someone who has played in many of these leagues at some point or another, I can tell you I would much rather have things taken care of than an extra $100 a game. Things like meals, travel, trainers, treatments, lodging, practice facility, and most importantly the playing field conditions. Pay me $75 a week instead of $200, and take that extra $125 you save a week (times 25 guys) and stick that $3,125 savings a week into advertising, promotions, etc... and I'd be ecstatic. You can take the league affiliations out of the conversation. Flat out, some teams do it right, and a lot of teams cut corners. It's always obvious who is cutting corners.
