I've crept around here for a while, finally decided to join up a few weeks ago.
I've been a fan of indoor/arena football since 2003, as my old assistant head coach in high school actually played for the Sioux City Bandits back then. So I started off as a fan of the Sioux City Bandits. But when I moved to Sioux Falls a few years ago, I became a fan of the Sioux Falls Storm, and have backed them for a few years now. I still follow Sioux City, and check to see how they've been doing.
As for Arena Football, I started getting into the AFL back in 2006, and my team was the Dallas Desperados, since I am a Dallas Cowboys fan. Watched them for a couple years, and they were just like the Cowboys. Had some good years, but when it came time to perform in the clutch, they seemed to fall apart. 2007 Divisional against the Columbus Destroyers, anyone?
But since the Desperados folded when the original league folded, I tried following the Dallas Vigilantes, but then they folded, so I've been kinda bouncing from team to team in the AFL, trying to find one that I really like.

Welcome! Glad to see you posting.
Not many people are fans of both the Bandits and Storm, good for you. Hopefully one day they can renew their rivalry though.
Ah man, yeah the Desperados failing in the playoffs every year was something, wasn't it? I was still trying to follow the AFL at that time, it was hard for me, but I was trying. I would just kind of follow the stats and standings during the regular season and then watch the playoffs. The game just isn't my cup of tea though.
If you're looking for a new AFL team I could recommend the Barnstormers since they have what I've always considered to be the coolest football helmets ever.
I've had a busy year and haven't been around to devote much time to the forum as in the past, but I plan to make some changes to it in the offseason and hopefully make it a busy place again.

Fan of both the Storm and Bandits ... o.O I know, it seems weird. But the Bandits were the team that got me into Indoor/Arena Football. Plus, like I said, my old assistant head coach from high school played for them. I know there's a heated rivalry, or used to, but I can't hate the Bandits.

I do like the Barnstormers helmets. They are one of the more original helmets that aren't too flashy, but not too boring. As for Dallas, I remember 2007 all too well. 15-1, best record ever in the AFL, and they completely piss away the game against Columbus.

Howdy fellow indoor football forum fans.
My name is Leonard Weirich and I have been a fan of indoor football since 1987 (the inaugural season of the Arena Football League).
Although I have not been watching arena football lately, I am surprised to learn that the AFL is bringing arena football back to Anaheim in the Los Angeles Kiss, but I certainly wish Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley the very best.
Good luck to Arizona and Philadelphia in the Arena Bowl.

Welcome to the boards. I haven't been on here as much since I have my hands full with a teenage daughter and going to the facebook group is easier for me, but once school starts next month hopefully I'll have more time to get on here and update things.
The Kiss should be successful, all they have to do is hold a few concerts before or after a game and they'll get people to come.
