I saw some talk over on the Facebook site, so I decided to see what was being said over here. Ha ha now this is funny. I truly hope everyone will know that we would not knowingly get our man from a exotic site. When we changed our logo 2 years ago, this man was brought to me. Everyone liked it. So we took away the pitch fork, narrowed him up, stretched him out and added a V on his chest. Springfield is liking it. It is very funny though, we will see how much PR this gets.

Haha, no problem, its not from a site, just from a font you can use to type. When will an announcement be made? Why did you decide to join the UIFL? any insight since I assume you are with the team?

Is it just going to be the 4 of you? Or is the Nitro team coming on board to make 5? What are your thoughts on travel to Texas and Florida

I'm not sure about the Austin team. So could be the 4 of us. The travel to Texas is not that bad, the Florida trips are a little long. We are preparing for it though. We have our own bus so that keeps the expenses down, more than most.

Congrats and Good luck in the UIFL Voodoo! The trips to Florida will be a long ride, does help with your own bus. How many can you seat in your arena?
I did not think Austin would field a team this year, just not enough time to do it right. The Voodoo is an established team.

Our home venue is not a "arena". It only seats 1100, but it is the only place we have in Springfield that is set up. It is a nice facility, and the turf fits perfect in between the walls. There are a couple spots we might could get into with more seating, but then we would get into the whole building walls. Plus in Media Com we get to roll it out 1st of March and leave it down till end of July.

1100 is fine if you sell out. In indoor football there are way too many empty seats. Its better to pack the place, gives it more of an atmosphere. More teams with little ticket sales should find places like that to start out with and grow from there.

Being able to practice on the carpet all season is a nice edge over opponets, who can not do that, plus you will not need the man power to put the field down and put it away after each game.
With paying players, staff, travel budget and everything else, it is going to be tough to make it with your building only seating 1,100, but hopefully you can do it!! Good luck this year!

The travel distance to Corpus Christi and the two Florida teams is killer. Good luck.

Yes it is great to only have to mess with the turf only twice a year. And yes our place is crazy loud, and we have yet to sell totally out. But, I believe this year we will get to see how it feels. We've got great fans! It is absolutely awesome how they will start beating the walls yell in "defense, defense" .lol its great.
We all recognize that we are not a huge organization, there fore we are on a very strict budget. I promise you we will not every over stretch our financials. See this to much. Everyone, from myself all the way down to volunteers, is on board with how things have to be run in order to build the team were we all want it. Plus, all revenue from this team goes straight into the team. I don't treat this team as my income. I have a have a job for that. Ooooooo, I better stop, I can get on a soap box. Anyway thank everyone for your interest in my team.

Here ya go indoor fans. I'll be the one to spread the news. Since I decided to put my team in a professional league. The AFL has got their panties up their crack, revoking their permission to use the name Voodoo, from me. I am speaking with my legal council. But to keep the AFL from bringing legal action against the UIFL for having my logo on their site. We will simply be the team from Missouri for now. I may just say the hell with it and ask our fans to shoot us some names they think would go with our devil man. What a pain. Anyway, throw out some names if you would like.
