With the Pershing Center currently scheduled to close in August, what is the future for the Lincoln Haymakers?

Seems like that's the case. Start up KC again and move any players that want to play down there. Lincoln doesn't get enough attendance at the Pershing, so they definitely can't fill the new arena there.

KC stated on their FB page that they're looking at the arena in Independence MO. Hopefully KC will return on 2015. It just means one more team close by that I can follow the Koyotes to so I can photograph the Koyotes. Photo is from last years game 04/12/2013 Charlie

If what I'm hearing is correct, this is very true, and also not so true, all at the same time. They'll be the Renegades, but he'll have very little to do with the new team. Maybe a small percentage if any. There is a new primary investor.

Don't know that it's a foregone conclusion they couldn't play at Pinnacle, even with the poor attendance. Not sure the difference in rent, although I always heard Pershing was very inexpensive. It should be noted Lincoln's women's roller derby team is playing one game at Pinnacle this season. Not sure if that means they will be playing there next year, maybe it's a test run. But that would indicate to me that Pinnacle may be more receptive to smaller events.

Well all of the Beef-makers press releases keep referring to tomorrow's game as the last game at the Pershing. Conveniently, no mention of the the future of the Lincoln team beyond that. But, judging by the 300 fans a game they have been drawing at home this season, probably not unreasonable to believe that tomorrow night will be the end of indoor football in Lincoln (again).

If they were bringing in AFL, Pinnacle might work, but it looks way too big for this league. I know the KC team was getting Kemper for next to nothing because it was vacant and scheduled for eventual demolition.

With the crowd they're drawing it's extremely unlikely the team would return. Highly doubtful current ownership could afford the Pinnacle as well.
