I had another thought on this game. What is the ruling on the line drive rocket kick that hit the beef return guy and went over the wall? I was thinking rouge, but it was spotted at the 5... And is the rouge indeed dead as I have heard? Can we take a knee in the endzone, and get the ball spotted to the 5? I must know the rules! Maybe I was wrong and the ball did not hit him, but I was pretty confident that it did.

I didn't see any Beef players touch the ball, in which case, a touchback at the 5yd line is the correct call.

You have to have possession of the ball and get tackled in the endzone for it to be a rouge, at least that's what it was. if the ball hits the ground/player and bounces over the wall its dead at the spot it went out and if in the endzone over wall goes to the 5

I like Riggs' quote about KeKe taking out Burrell during the Beef celebration.
"Keke apologized to me but I told him I had no issues with what he did whatsoever," Riggs said, adding that Bouie surely endeared himself to the fans with his display. "Allen Burrell's always the first to talk, the second to play, and that's why he couldn't crack our starting lineup."

I love how sioux falls likes to give a team a glimmer of hope during a game only to turn around and take it away time and time again.....Im moving north LOL. Yes, the Storm do tend to let teams hang around, but usually end up closing out the game regardless.

You have to have possession of the ball and get tackled in the endzone for it to be a rouge, at least that's what it was. if the ball hits the ground/player and bounces over the wall its dead at the spot it went out and if in the endzone over wall goes to the 5 That's exactly right. If the ball touches a player on the way out of the end zone, then it'd be spotted at the 5. If the receiving team player takes possession of it and doesn't make it out of the end zone, then it's a rouge and 1 point for the kicking team. If the ball hits the turf and goes out of bounds anywhere inside the 5 yard line to the end zone, then the ball is spotted at the 5 (saw a kick go out at the 2 yard line in the Wichita/Omaha game and the ball was brought to the 5). In the Sioux Falls game, one squib kick ricocheted down the field and when it hit the end zone the Beef player touched it but couldn't grab it before it went out of bounds, so the ball went to the 5. On another squib kick the ball was hard to recover for the Beef players and finally came to rest in the end zone. That is a live ball, so the Beef player had to gain possession and get it out of the end zone or give Sioux Falls a point if he was tackled in the end zone. Well, he tried to grab it and run with it at the same time and didn't get full possession and by that time (an eternity) the Sioux Falls kick coverage had made it to the end zone and fell on the ball for an easy Touch Down. Of course we can say the Beef receiver should've fell on it and given up 1 point instead of 6 (which is true, that's what he should've done), but I'm sure all of us in the same position would've tried to grab it and run as fast as possible. It didn't work out for him though, but the game was out of reach at that time anyway so it didn't matter anywhere except in the stats.

It was cool to hear Riggs in the locker room. And to see how bad that call on the first touchdown was Thanks for posting.
