Yeah, I'm getting tired of looking for them too. If it's not on qkstats, the team site, or a news article, then they are not interested in reporting attendance due to low numbers they don't want known or incompetence with media. Either will get them a 0.

Feel free to help out like this at any time. I'm not familiar with Maryland or what newspaper covers the Maniacs. That link will help with that since an internet search and the Maniacs site didn't help to uncover that link. 700 is bad though, real bad, and probably why it's not on the team or league site.

I guess my point (although probably too crudely pointed out, and for that I apologize) here was that everyone is so quick to slam Maryland without all the facts and with 0 perspective. I mean, I think that the fact that they...
1. Have already had as many fans in 2 games as almost all of last season 2. Already have a better product than past teams here - as many wins as the Tide all of last year, with a chance to be 3-2 after this weekend, I hope 3. Are active in the community 4. DO have a media outlet 5. Players have all been paid on time
...should at least earn them a little bit of patience from the Indoor Football world. Yet, everyone just keeps talking like its the Tide, and its not. I think we should be happy about a franchise heading in the right direction overall, rather than always focusing on the negatives.

Your team is getting outdrawn at the gate by the semi-professional Springfield Wolfpack of the APFL. You get no patience at all in my eyes. You wanna be 'premier'? Then you better step up at all levels.

to be fair guys, to people out east there is ZERO difference between the maniacs and the tide, and if one extrapolates that the tide was semi-pro.. a knock on the CIFL, but not a terrible stretch mind you... then let's at least see that they are gaining ground. You can't magically make people watch this game guys, we all know that. It's taken years and years for the Storm, Beef, and Bandits to build to where they are today, and one "off" season marketing wise has seen the Beef slip a TON from what I'm gathering. If all the bills and players are getting paid, lets give the team a chance to build. if the owner is in it for the money, they'll be gone next year anyways, no matter WHERE they would have put a team.

I don't know much about the Tide and haven't compared them to the Tide at all, and don't remember anyone else doing here either, except exit. To me they're an expansion team and it will take time to build up numbers.
In 2007 the Beef had the worst attendance of any of their seasons. The previous owner didn't want the job anymore and Bob Scott took ownership that year until a new owner could be found. I'm always thankful, as the other core Beef fans are, that Scott did that, otherwise the franchise probably would've died. Granted, not much was put into the team, just enough to keep it going, but hey, beggars can't be choosers when the only other option is going dark...and they still had a winning year. Anyway, Crow came in last year and marketed up the wazoo and did everything else the right way and attendance went back up to normal. This year it has dipped some, but no where near 2007 levels, so the people casting all this doom and gloom don't know what they are talking about.

That's why they weren't invited back (with Saginaw and Lehigh Valley). The Tide were semipro. The Maniacs are apparently pro with what amounts to the Chesapeake Tide roster getting paid this time around. 700 fans is better than they usually get, though, and that's a start.

It was a legit 3500+ at the Civic on Saturday, and considering the show those fans got to see between two really good football teams, I'd expect the vast majority of them to be back for more on Friday.
