was West Michigan paying their players? That would be a big NO. I'm not in favor of them returning unless a change in ownership occurs, but it's not up to me. Lets face it, for those of us who've been following this sport for awhile we know that the current management there will not change and the same thing will happen in 2011 if they are allowed to keep the status quo.

Weren't there some teams that were "taking the 2010" season off, but had said they would be back in 2011? (Like the El Paso Generals, RiverCity Rage and Saginaw Sting)
I am assuming they are not really coming back, but weren't they technically not officially "folded"?

Taking a season off means folded 99% of the time. The AF2 Iowa Barnstormers came back many years later after they said they would, but they did come back (albeit under new ownership, so pretty much a completely new organization just using the previous name). Has an indoor team ever come back after saying they would return?...don't think so, unless I'm forgetting one.
Perhaps in the future one of those three teams may be back, but it would probably be with new ownership and the likelihood that the new ownership would want ties to the previous team in the market is slim. RiverCity did have some name recognition built up, but they weren't drawing all that well the last few years so a new team there would probably want to start fresh as well. I know the Sprowls' are still trying to sell the RiverCity Rage franchise, but I haven't heard of anyone being interested yet.

I'm not sure how Billings makes a 2011 season if they're forced into the Sportsplex... people in Billings didn't seem to embrace the Outlaws temporary home, and bristled at the $28 price tag for bleacher seating..while fine folks, I'm sure they'd be shocked to find out they had better seats than I had at home for about the same price.

At that point, wouldn't it almost just going back to the UIF days? (Except for Fairbanks)

No official word on Texas teams yet, but my feeling is they'll be back. Arkansas and Austin are rumored to be looking at moving to different cities and also possibly move to SIFL as well.
