I can tell you this BC, any of the former UIF teams that would move to the af2 next year will pay less than what they paid for the IFL this year. The difference is the af2 office has been making the league fees lower by having marketing agreements etc which have dramatically reduced the cost. I can also tell you the workman's comp is lower than what the IFL teams pay based on the numbers given. What is "legitimate" moreso with the AF2 than the other leagues? The fact you pay more? Teams have just the same kind of problems in that league as with any other league. What do you think they get out of the AF2 that the other leagues can't give them? It certaintly isn't money back. Teams make the move to AF2 each year and fail, it's only the owners with deep pockets that survive there.

I still prefer the indoor game though (such as the rule set the IFL and CIFL play) and hope all indoor teams stay indoor. I'd love to see the AF2 change their rules to indoor-style, they'd have an instant fan, instead of a once-in-a-while one.

Here is the deal. Macgregor and his afl2 teams and the ifl texas teams along with some other top teams around the country are starting yet another league. The ifl is dead as you know it. Rochester is completely up in the air with what they are doing. Macarthy will only have Barto as owner through this year. He is on other things in his life. Its hard when one owner takes "all the Glory"and the other owner takes "all the Bills". Look for omaha, river city, sioux city, muskegon and saginaw to fold.Cifl league has better model. This is a one and done league. To many egos, to many lies, to much debt

Please return your seat backs and tray tables to their original upright and locked positions, and stow any carry on baggage. Thanks you for flying Storm airlines.

Riggs may well not be *done*, just done with the Storm.
I'd guess that unless they sell, he's not staying.

They have to sell. I expect Riggs to coach the Storm if they return (which I expect them to do). If Riggs isn't there, I do believe he will coach somewhere...it's in his blood.

And I don't know if it'll be indoors, either.

And I don't know if it'll be indoors, either. It will. Weather's not good enough for outdoors there.

And I don't know if it'll be indoors, either. Yeah, I don't see him moving in order to keep coaching indoors.

You will see me coaching the Detriot Lions before you see Riggs leave SF. He has a great job - as does his wife, two young ones, and a very good gig with the University of Sioux Falls. He doesn't need to go anywhere to get his coaching fix. He has been burning the football candle at both ends for YEARS - and YEARS. He is competitive as hell but I don't think he'd lose sleep over having a spring & summer away from the traveling circus that is indoor football.

Let me know when the Lions hire you and I'll make the trip out there. Although an away game to KC would be easier for me.
Sioux Falls Storm will be back, but in the .01% chance they aren't, he could always go to Sioux City and coach.

Sioux Falls Storm will be back, but in the .01% chance they aren't, he could always go to Sioux City and coach. Talk about being on the hot seat from the very beginning if that happened. But don't count on it. We have our coach and he will be putting up those playoff wins soon enough.
