I'll repost what I posted on the IFF board: ---------------------------------------------------- The most humorous thing about this Louisiana situation, is where Thom Hager came up with those ridiculous numbers. There is no way that his travel budget would have increased that much, if any. The schedule hasn't even been released yet. And when it is, he would have been playing the same regional group of teams that he's been playing all along. The real issue is that the league is growing. Every team owner has equal ownership and an equal vote in the league. And all of a sudding Hager becomes a small fish in a big pond. This is an ego thing for Hager. Under this new IFL structure, suddenly Hager isn't as "significant" (for lack of a better word) in a 20+ team league as he was previously in a 9 team league. Furthermore, Hager wants to reduce the schedule to 10-12 games and pay his players $100 per game, or less if he can get away with it. Mark my words, the SIFL is going to be the next APFL or IIFA. And Thom Hager becomes the next Ralph Adams. Just my two cents. Interesting. I hate to see Louisiana go, but egos do play a big part at this level unfortunately.

I bet he and his Swashbuckler team are more significant to the IFL then you lead everyone to believe! Lets just see how things play out over the next few days
