We had 26 people actually and the cowbells were a ringing pretty good. The home crowd was about 800 total I estimate...it was very sparse. They definitely weren't loud either...in fact they barely cheered at all. The only time they actually started making noise was right at the end when the Beef were going for the 2pt conversion to tie it up, the announcer finally was able to get them to make some noise.

Had to cut the last post short, the internet connection here in the boondocks was dying. Intermittent connectivity (it's so fun to visit family). Anyway, 2 fans from Omaha flew in to last night's game, I brought my daughter. Mom, and myself, and the owner had family come and team staff had family come, and all of them got decked out in Beef gear and were ringing cowbells. The Timberwolves played a great game and were the better team last night. The only thing I liked about the Beef's performance was that they didn't give up. I wish they would stop committing so many stupid personal foul penalties, but that has been there m.o. the last few years and shows no signs of changing. The only plus I get out of it is that they at least care and are competitive and that's why they get upset, but the coaches should step in at some point and tell them to keep themselves in control to avoid those costly personal foul penalties that destroy drives. I like how Seattle has improved under the new owners. The field was finally painted and looked nice (before it had the LFL's Seattle Mist logo on it since they share the turf), the concessionaires with the teams equipment had many items for sale and it all had Seattle Timberwolves on them, the team uni's were updated with the new logos, scoreboard videos had the new logos and nice graphics, etc, etc. Those all-purple uni's are something though, but the Beef have had all-orange one's before so it's all cool to me. The star of the game was definitely McCullum (would love to see him play for the Beef). He's got a great arm, nice height to see over the line, and can scramble nicely. D.D. Holyfield also ran nicely up the middle successfully so many times (lost count) thanks to some great O-Line blocking. Overall, I was definitely surprised at how efficiently the Timberwolves were able to move the ball against the league's number one defense (sure to lose that status after that performance). The Beef's offense once again had issues which I had hoped wouldn't be the case after last week's dominating performance against Wyoming. It was nice to see a live game once again and hopefully I'll be able to return to Washington State in three weeks to see Fairbanks visit Tri-Cities. It was also nice to be around cowbell ringing again. The Timberwolves were classy and thanked us Beef fans for making the trip after the game. My daughter also enjoyed seeing the Beef again after the long layoff and sat by the wall the entire game taking pic's with her ipod.
