Like I said this is what I have heard and confirmed there were offers. I do see Tri-Cities gone first out of the three, then GB, and the Storm third. The promise has been made that there will not be an increase in in operating costs, and unlike the indoor leagues, when Kurz makes a promise, he works at keeping it. Just something to watch for in the silly off-season.

No way Carr takes Fever back to AFL or AFDL. Green Bay won't go back either. Sioux Falls is a slight possible due to their issues with the IFL, but I'd bet something else happens instead. That's my take based off my info.

I would agree with BC. I dont see SF going anywhere. With TC's past with the AFL I cant see them going back. But I dont doubt there has been talk with those teams.

I'm sure Shack would love for TC to go to the AFDL though. If he could sway Carr, then it could happen I guess. I still think they won't go though.

Shack wouldn't like that. I don't think he would want to be connected to Spokane again.

I can't see Green Bay joining the AFDL either. You have to remember that Art Clarkson left af2 and I don't think it was a pretty situation when he left. Sioux Falls is most logical to leave. Especially if Omaha folds. Sioux Falls will be on a little island with awful road trips virtually every week. Though in the AFDL, Sioux Falls would probably be looking at plane trips every week. Not sure how Kurz can promise no increase in costs. It will be $15,000-$20,000 per road trip on plane travel. The only way Kurz can garuantee no increase in costs is if the parent club picks up some of the travel, but you know the parent club is then going to want some control of the roster. How is Chris Dixon or Clinton Solomon going to react when they have to take a pay cut to go to the AFL?

Didn't Spokane honor him last year (or was it this year) at a game though? I forget what the honor was, but I recall the Spokane org on the field with him talking about him glowingly.

Most people in America could[n't] name you a star in the AFL. It just doesn't have that big of a following. The AFL has a bigger following than the IFL or any other indoor leagues.

The AFL does have a bigger following since it's been around longer. All the arena/indoor leagues have no name recognition with the general public though. Kurt Warner is the biggest name to come out of the AFL and most still can't recall that fact. Fred Jackson is the biggest name to come out of indoor football and the same goes for him, most have no idea.

The AFL wil have greater recognition. It started the sport and has been televised nationally in the past.

It's still not on the general public's radar, and never will be.

It's still not on the general public's radar, and never will be. Exactly. I'm not saying that the IFL has a larger following than the AFL, far from it. But Arena(and Indoor) football is a niche sport. You're not going to get a lot of fan support and enthusiasm for a developmental league for a niche sport.
