I see no reason not to. Chicago might actually be worse than last year, and Indy's a total unknown. We saw PH isn't good, but they don't have to be.

PH played both Marion and Cincy decent last year prior to the sin city exodus.

They did. They were the second best team until the money slowly stopped flowing.

They don't have a lot of those players, though, especially on offense. Defense looks pretty intact, but we'll see. The CIFL champ isn't playing this week.

Indy released their roster - some CIFL experience, but mostly with last year's Enforcers. Looks like they got a QB from last year's Chicago CIFL team. They'll be better, but aren't going to contend.

Evansville Rage beat the Kentucky Xtreme in a preseason exhibition game 56-26. The Kentucky Xtreme may join the CIFL next year.

Well, given the CIFL's requirements, they have a good shot of joining. Talked to a buddy that went to the game, he said the Xtreme played pretty well once they kind-of got a hold of what the indoor rules are.
Also said that given the Rage cut a few guys who "clearly weren't good enough for them" (all of which signed elsewhere pretty quickly,": "The Rage didn't look as good tonight as last week."

They have a great shot of joining...assuming they're still around next year or not going in another direction. One thing I've learned is to never count on a team that's saying it'll join a league over a year out. The actual percentage of teams following through on that is pretty low, the same as taking a year off. There's just too much that can and will happen between that amount of time.

FINAL Port Huron Patriots (1-0) 52 Chicago Vipers (0-1) 49
Chicago was getting destroyed in this game, but after halftime they actually came back and took a late lead before coming up a field goal short of tieing the game.
