Wow, this is bush league on the IFL's part. I hope Sioux Falls fans organize some kind of protest at the next home game. "Premier" my a$$!
I thought at first the article had to be a joke like an April Fool's joke. Now I think this is just the IFL's idea of a joke. A really sick joke.

It doesnt even matter I bet they still make playoffs. And Grizz Fan I dont think you have a place to say something about whining when your team was the one that was criticizing the refs when they were right and then say your players were tired from traveling to bloomington.

I'm pretty sure Sioux Falls did have Workers Comp for the players. It just wasn't set up through the league like it was suppose to. That is a clear mistake and SF should pay the consequences for it.
But if anybody for a second thinks the punishment here fits the crime, you have absolutely no clue. Awful.
I will root on SF and their appeal as I root for Omaha every week (minus the 23492 byes).

Wow. The punishment doesn't appear to fit the crime.
How did this transpire? Did they get all the owners together to discuss possible punishments and when they couldn't agree on which punishment to use, they decided to use all of the suggestions? Who can blame the other owners? They can't compete with the Storm on the field so when an opportunity presented itself, they took full advantage of it.
Two questions: 1) Will this thing end up in court? The team's press release even has a quote from their attorney.
2) Will the Storm jump ship to a different league next year, as a result of all this?

What I don't understand is how the league plans to handle the next case like this if the team is 0 - 5. How can you set a standard that will differ from team to team?
As for the Playoffs, the Storm should still be able to make it is according to this post on the OSC board.

this is some crap, i mean really, when fans of rival teams are on here saying that was a stupid thing to do and complete non-sense, you should know you've screwed up

Another question: If the on-field punishments stand, and a team other than the Storm win the championship, how big of an asterisk is placed next to that team's name?
